I love the idea of surprise towel art - what can i do to get more magic moments?:wizard:

Is it all about the tip you leave?

TIA Traci

I have a feeling that if your room is a little more tidy that housekeeping has the opportunity to do that kind of thing.

If you leave stuffed animals out, they will sometimes do funny things with them.

Also, at themouseforless.com you can print out envelopes for your tips with a thank you to mousekeeping.

In the parks you can pick up a badge if it's a special occasion - birthday, first trip, honeymoon, etc. You will get lots of good wishes.

I think the previous poster was right about making sure they have time by not leaving a huge mess - but I'm sure it also just depends on who you get. We did use tip envelopes, but we just made them ourselves with stickers. The big thing was DS always left out animals, and we came back to the best displays!

We were recently at Disney for a week and left VERY generous tips everynight and never received any towel art. I think it probably just depends on who you get. I wasn't leaving the large tips with an eye towards that purpose -- I was actually just trying to influence them to do a very good job since I was pregnant and with my DD and paranoid about germs, but I'm not sure that even worked.

I say make your own magic!

* leave out little Tink surprises for the kids overnight (sunglasses, goggles, jibbitz, trading pins, etc)

* pass out cards saying "thanks for being a jewel" to CMS that are helpful -- glue a faux jewel stone on them

* buy extra glow sticks before you leave home and pass them to all the kids around you during evening parades/fireworks

* see if the front desk of your resort has any balloons for the kids (sometimes they do)

There is all kinds of inspiring things on the Creative DISigns board.

I was a little disappointed that we didn't get that 'magical' feeling at our resort. We left out the DD's stuffed animals every morning with the hopes of having them appear on the beds wearing sunglasses or some kind of towel art but no such luck. :confused3 I was a little disappointed.

Given the amount of rooms the mousekeepers have to do I would guess they don't have a whole lot of time to make displays and towel animals and such. And not all are trained to make towel animals.

Such things are supposed to be random which is what makes them magical.

If you expect it to happen then you will be disappointed. I would not expect anything, even if you tip.

Seriously?????

Are you people for real?
You spend however long at Walt Disney World and if you don't get a stinking towel animal your vacation wasn't "magical".

mental absolutely mental
