My Maid of Honor is a newly single mom with twins, so needless to say she's pretty strapped financially speaking. I am using my miles to "pay" for her plane ticket, my mom has offered to let her stay in her hotel room, and I am going to buy her a park ticket and take her to Magic Kingdom. What else could I do for her to make this kind of like a vacation? She will be there for two maybe three nights at the most. I was thinking maybe all of us going out to dinner at Chef Mickey's or somewhere fun, and maybe a day at one of the water parks or Disney Quest since I am on a tight budget. Any other budget-friendly ideas?

Thanks,
Ashley

It may be more beneficial to her if you pay for her dress, shoes, and alterations.

Consider paying to have her hair and make-up done on the wedding day; and/or her nails. A spa treatment at the GF or Saratoga Springs? Disney Quest ticket? A girl's lunch or dinner at a nice resaurant (what about on in the World Showcase?)? Disneybucks for shopping?

Hmm... I will out my thinking cap on... although I'm likely to start thining about it and get distracted 3 minutes later. This new-found, wedding induced ADD is frustrating!

think she will want some 'singles' time around the property? depending on the resort they might have baby sitting availble. so perhaps take her to pleasure island on one of the nights?

That's a good idea. Actually she will be leaving the kids with Grandma. So I think just getting away awhile might be a nice vacation in itself. :teeth:

yeah defintly some single time...can you squeze in some girl time? Go shopping at dtd (maybee give her $20 dis dollars) and go to lunch. then maybe out to pleasure island for a drink! sometimes time together counts for more than a gift and it will be memories you both remember!

How about an afternoon at the spa? you can get side by side massages or maybe a day in the water parks - girls day type of thing?

i also think a spa treatment or massage would be a great gift for your moh mom plus the treatments are so relaxing something she might not get often with 2 babies. all the disney spas & healthclubs are run by niki bryan with the exception of the new mandara spa at the dolphin theres info about the services & prices at http://relaxedyet.com

me, my girls & our moms are doing a spa treatment at the gf spa followed by lunch one afternoon on our trip.

a wdw gift card or disney money would also be a nice gift so she can buy food, souvenirs, etc.
