What can I accomplish during OBB?

I'm starting the framework for an October trip, and wondering how much time we'll need to plan for DCA outside of the party. I've never been to a party before, so I don't know what to expect as far as wait times. Our top party goals would be: the parade, villains grove, GOTG (hopefully at least a couple times), Web, RSR, and a few treat trails. We'd like to also ride all of the other LL attractions if possible. It will just be me and DD13, so we're relatively fast-moving. We'd arrive at 3 for the mix-in and stay until 11 (assuming hours are the same next year). How much can we realistically accomplish?

If the parties are the same as this year next year, you can realistically accomplish all of this. We arrived at 3:30 and had a 4:30 Lamplight Lounge reservation. It was my husband, 14 year-old daughter, 2-month old son, and I. We didn’t leave there until 5:30 and we were able to accomplish all you have outlined plus some. We also rode Incredicoaster, Goofy’s Flight School, Silly Symphony, and Little Mermaid several times since they were all walk-on. My daughter and husband did all the treat trails, some with me and some while I fed the baby. My daughter rode GTG three times in a row because it was also a walk-on.

It's very easy to do all of that and even if you don't attend the mix in. If you go during the mix in, be prepared for long lines for everything. Save the treat trails for later towards the end of the party. If you attend the second parade, it's easy to find a good spot a few minutes before it starts. During the first parade, the lines for all the rides will be very short. That's a good time to do Monsters After Dark a couple times in a row.

Do you happen to remember the parade times from last year?

We attended two parties last year. Hit the rides right at the start of the party, most will line up for treat trails. Go for Radiator Springs right away, it was a walk on for us. We rode it twice with no wait, then a third with about a 15 min wait. We had an early dinner at Flo's to stay close to RSR and Guardians. There is also a treat trail nearby so you can modify your plans based on seeing if people are lining up for the trails at the beginning.

Later in the evening we rode Guardians 4 times with no wait.

Get in line for Villain's about 10 min before the first parade. Dont be afraid of the line length, it goes fast. Hit the second parade and have your choice of spot, many have left or saw the first parade.

If treat trails are long, skip them ad go back later at night. Bring a backpack to dump your candy :) The treat bags are small, we took home enough candy to pass out on Halloween, and we get hundreds of kids in our neighborhood.

Hope this helps!

If I remember right when I went on Halloween I did Guardians 7 times, WEB twice, Soarin’, Racers twice, Incredicoaster twice, and Toy Story Mania between 3 and 11. Most of that was during the party itself. I wouldn’t say everything was a walk on during the party but almost everything ended up being less than a 10 minute wait
