My DD will be 18 when we cruise. Will she hang out with adults or teens? My other DD will be 16. This will be their first cruise and they are worried that they wont be able to do anything together? Will that be the case with them? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I had the exact same dilemma but from what I have read, if you talk to the counselors in The Stack there's a good possibility that they will go ahead and make an exception to include you 18 year old especially since she has a sibling eligible for the club. I've read several accounts of 18 year olds being admitted as long as they follow the rules. We plan on talking to the counselors as well since my son turns 18 in July and our cruise is 9/1.

ETA: In my opinion if they're allowed to be in the club they actually get the best of both worlds - an 18 year old can have dinner with their parents at Palo or go to the adult areas on the ship yet still hang with their younger teen siblings.

We just went thru this last June. Our DS18 had an absolute blast on the 7 day. He had turned 18 the month before. He was very excited to join the teen club again (went on the 4 day before and loved it). He went the first night and they turned him away, was really bummed out. I called the club and explained to them he JUST turned 18 and couldn't wait to join. They reconsidered, and let him in. Your daughter won't have that problem though...I say have her go the very first night with your other daughter, that is critical. They will meet new friends that night and they do meet and greet stuff too. My son and other two sons LOVED the Stack. It truly made their entire cruise running around with other kids their own age. We never saw them, other than dinner times. Your daughters can hang with each other at first, but then they'll meet friends of their own, I'm sure. They'll have tons of things to do or just hang right there in the Stack. They will really love it. And yes, she'll be able to join you in Palo! Thats what we did, but we had him go to the Palo brunch with us, dinner was off limits to just us:) . Have fun! Let me know if you have any more questions, my kids loved it!!!!

On our upcoming cruise, we will have 4 18-year-old boys (including my DS), a 17-year-old boy and his almost 16-year-old sister and my DD and her boyfriend, both 21. They are all friends and I'm a little worried, too, because of the 17-year-old and 16-year-old not being adults yet. Hopefully, there will be enough things and places for all of them to enjoy together! :)

I do want to add one more thing...the Stack counselors allowed my DS18 in because he had turned 18 within the last month of the cruise. So that is the cutoff. Just for those people that are wondering whether 18 year olds can get in, that is the rule.

I am 18 and my sister is 16. We were told that If you just turned 18 then you will still be allowed in the teen club. Our cruise is september 1st as well.

Thank you all so much for responding to my question. My DD will already be 18 for a few months. There is another issue, she will be 18 but mentally she is quite a bit younger. She also has a learning disability. Do you think the counselors will take that into consideration? I hope so. She does so much better with people younger than her.

That is a great question. All you can do is go up there and ask that first day. Pull a CM aside and explain the situation, I bet you there will be a consideration taken. But you never know how strict they will be when it comes to the age limit, like I said, they have to have just turned 18 within the month, but you never know!
