I agree with one of the poster who said be careful with empty weight and weight after you add all your stuff. We have a 27ft Frontier Hyperlite and it is about 6000lbs dry weight and had a low tongue weight (around 580 I think), that is one of the reasons we bought it. We were towing with a 2005 Toyota Tundra 4X4 V8... and yes it towed fine but we did find ourselves "sucked in" when a big truck passed and it DRANK gas. We were getting about 125-150 per tank- around 7-8 mpg average on flat interstate.
We decided to upgrade the truck this year and BOY am I glad we did-- 2009 F350 Diesel... pulls like it is not even back there. Our only really long trip with it (bought in Feb) was to Canyon Lake for Spring Break (about 6 hours) over the hills and back roads... what a GREAT ride. Gas mileage was GREAT (even on hills) we got 11-14mpg... plus having a 36 gallon tank helps lessen stops.
