I have searched for the answer to this question, but have had no luck! So now I am asking anyone who has stayed at SSR what building/room would you request?

This is my first time at SSR and the resort looks HUGE! I will be traveling with my husband, my 3 boys (ages 15 yrs, 13 yrs, and 9 months). Therefore, I am looking for something with a close proximity to the pool and bus stop. I am thinking by the main pool. I don't even know where the bus stop is!! I haven't even been able to find a detailed map!

Can you get a view of Downtown Disney from anywhere at SSR? My husband was looking for a view and something close to the pool!

I am so confused :confused3 I just don't know where to request! :confused3

Maybe you can tell me about the different locations you have stayed at and their proximity to different things and I can hopefully decide from there! I haven't had this much difficulty at the other resorts I have stayed at!

Thanks for your opinions! :grouphug:

SSR trip earlier this month.. loved the resort.. my choice of rooms would be Congress Park (has it's own quiet pool) - downtown Disney View - probably 3rd floor or higher cuz better view of DTD and balcony will keep the little one from going out of the back door on the ground floor and straight into the pool when you look away for a moment. Buildings don't really have numbers.. they are ID'ed by the room numbers that are in them. We where in 1501-1836, but would also like 2101-2436 (these 2 buildings are cloest to the quiet pool).

I agree, Congress Park will likely get you a good "view" of DTD, but I would suggest taking your chances. The resort is far too new to know much about speciic locations, and there are more buildings open now and more will be opening in the near future. I doubt any of us could give a good representation of what those new buildings might be like for view or location. Suffice it to say that bus stops will be convenient, and if you aren't close to the main pool, the bus will take you there easily. BTW, the neighborhood pool is very large and very nice, and right outside Congress Park.
