What Building at POFQ

So folks
We have comfirmed are reservations and paid the deposit, have the resv. for the rent a car, bought our Airfare now what building should we ask for at POFQ. This is our first visit to that resort, LOVED Dixie landings (Riverside) hope I am not dissapointed. We are non smokers(quit 4 years ago hate the smell now) traveling with our DD age 6.

I hear that the resort is small and nothing is to far, we have a car so the bus pick up is not importnant.

Lets hear it folks what do you think...

We've stayed at POFQ, POR, and AKL. Of those, POFQ is our favorite. POR is beautiful and we loved it, but the 'smallness' of POFQ gives it the edge to us. No matter where you are, you will be close to the food court, main building, etc. Buildings 4, 3, and 5 seem to be the most popular. I think part of building 4 is smoking- but I don't think the whole building is. There is a great map around- it may be from this website. If I find it I will post it. I don't think you can go wrong at POFQ!

We stayed in Building 3, loved the location, quiet and close to everything.
My mother was in building 2 on the 3rd floor, she requested a smoking building. Not all of that building was smoking though, maybe just the 3rd floor, but I can be sure.

I have a standard view room booked at POFQ. I don't want to be in building 7. Building 3 looks like the standard parking lot view. I found this link: http://allearsnet.com/acc/pomap1.jpg

We were in building 3, right near the AED logo on the map that Marie posted. It was very nice and close to everything. I think that if I stayed at POFQ again I would ask for a interior courtyard view instead of a parking lot view.

Last May stayed in Building 3 on the third floor. Our room overlooked Building 2 and the landscaped area between Bldgs. 2 and 1. I thought this was a good location, nice view and close to food court and parking, and not to far from the pool. Paid a little extra to get a corner room with a king size bed.

Buidling #5 assures you that you'll be centrally located, non-smoking room with no chance of a parking lot view! Be sure to ask for a corner room, okay? You'll feel that you have lots more space and if you keep it general like in order of importance you will likley get it!

Here's an example:

corner room, garden view, building 5 or 3.

Easy and probably a done deal!!

p.s. even tho you have a car, the Disney buses are wonderful and helps to make you feel always in the magic! What time of yr are you going? That can make a difference. Also the folks at PO are so nice and you can always call 5 days ahead to be sure they have your requests.

we just came back from POFQ last week and we stayed in room 5106 - right across from the laundry building, spa, just a short walk to the pool. The food court was literally 30 seconds walk.

room 5101 is the corner room in this line of rooms. What's really cool is that the road in front of the room is the path that the carriage takes, so during the evening you could have the chance to see the lovely horse drawn carriage drive past you. Very nice!

We made our request at check-in time. We asked for a first floor room in building 5 that was close to the food court, and the CM gave us this room. We were definitely happy with this room and I wouldn't hesitate requesting it again.
