I just finished reading "The Killer Angels" by Michael Shaara. It's about the 3-day Battle of Gettysburg and is perhaps the best book that I have ever read. Currently, I'm reading "Ballad of the Whiskey Robber: A True Story of Bank Heists, Ice Hockey, Transylvanian Pelt Smuggling, Moonlighting Detectives, and Broken Hearts" by Julian Rubenstein. The story is about Hungary's most beloved criminal. The rumors are that it will soon be a movie starring Johnny Depp. Here's hoping! :)

I am just finishing up Night Fall by Nelson Demille. It is about the explosion of flight 800.

"Pirates of Pensacola". Its a farce about modern, real pirates in the Carribean, but they all act like pirates of old; peg legs, pirates, cannons, etc.

I just finished LOTR The Fellowship of the Ring and since I can't find The Two Towers I started reading The Time Traveller's Wife for the second time.

I really shouldn't be reading anything not related to school right now because I have so much that's due these next two weeks! Ay yi yi.

I'm struggling through Book 11 of The Wheel of Time series. Who would have thought, 15 years ago, that I'd still be reading this series. When will it END? :(

I'm looking forward to whatever my next book will be.....

I've just started 4th July by James Patterson.

I read this book and loved it. Once I started it, I could not put it down, read it in three nights.

Stop the madness! Find a new series! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

DH has pooped out on book five or six finally. I never did get into them because I'm such an obsessive compulsive -- I'd never be able to put them down until I went through the whole series no matter how crazy it drove me in the process. :rotfl2:

I'm reading Seize The Night by Dean Koontz..not sure exactly what its about yet lol Koonts is pretty crazy

It's just not that easy. It's not just that I've already invested in reading 10 books -- but these are monstrosities.... I think those 10 books represented 8500 pages of reading. There are well over 400 characters who I simply have to know what happens to them. One more book in the series after this one. Better be!!!

Next is Son of a Witch, by Gregory Maguire.

I read The Kingdom Keepers by Ridley Pearson. It's a kids book but I loved it anyway! (My 11 year old loved it too.) It is about kids solving a mystery in WDW during the night.

Yes, it is a kids book but reading about WDW after hours was a lot of fun! It is going to be a gift this Christmas for some of my nieces and nephews who are also Disney crazy.

(I do read adult books - really  )

Memoirs of a Geisha.

I know, I know everyone else read this a long time ago, but what can I say I'm a late bloomer.

Now it's a race for me to finish before the movie.

That sounds funny. My kind of book. :rotfl:

Pride and Prejudice.....
Been trying to finish this book for years, school always got in the way. I am really enjoying it, and promised myself I would not see the movie until I finished the book. (even though I watched A&E's series years ago)

next I have to speed read Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe before Narnia comes out. I read it decades ago, but wanted to refresh my mind before the movie. I am a stickler for reading the story before the seeing the movie. ;)

"Killers Angels", good book you got there. Right now I'm reading the "The Old Breed - a History of the First Marine Division in WW II". ::MickeyMo

Predator by Patricia Cornwell. I started it yesterday and I have about 15 pages left.

I am about to start "The Devil Wears Prada' I am feeling some easy reading

I just finished "Pledged" The book about sororities.

OP Killer Angels is one of my favorite books also. My favorite in the whole series.

also ND fan(I am thinking, could be way off base)

I'm almost done with The Ruby Ring by Diane Haeger. It's a novel about Raphael.

Read quickly, because there's one more book you need to read before the movie comes out! It's called Geisha: A Memoir by Mineko Iwasaki and it's a true memoir of a geisha. She's actually mentioned in Golden's book and supposedly he based his story on her (he interviewed her extensively for his book). She's suing him for misrepresenting her so badly.

Very interesting stuff.
