What bones have you broken?

The only bone I have had broken is my middle toe a little over 2 years ago. It still will sometimes hurt like the day it was broke! I don't understand why? Is that normal?? I hope I never break anything again!

Oh yeah, I forgot--I broke my nose while swimming (eyes were closed, plowed into a wall face-first). I don't think I've ever seen so much blood in my life.

I broke my middle toe playing football...and I dislocated my shoulder, but I guess that doesn't count.

Before I begin, let me tell you that I grew up riding and training horses. Here goes:

Right leg (fibula)
Left Leg (tibia and fibula)
Right arm (ulna)
Left Arm (humerus)
clavicle (twice)
coccyx (twice)
1 thumb, two fingers and 4 toes
3 skull fractures

Needless to say, I am grateful to my mom for letting me continue riding and thrilled my boys decided to take up swimming instead. Oh, and please remember those skull fractures if I say anything stupid on the DIS!

shattered my elbow in 4th grade gym class
broke my ankle on a family road trip
had my sister break my wrist for me (accidentally)
numerous toes (because DH insists on using bricks for doorstops. Don't ask me why)
I also think I broke my collarbone, falling out of a tree, but since I never went to the doctor, I'm not entirely sure.

Broke my wrist while washing windows- fell off the table I was standing on. I took this as a sign to never wash windows again. The worst pain I've ever experienced in my life (including childbirth).

Walked right into one of DD's little chairs in the dark a year ago- broke my next-to-little-toe. Yeoowch!! That one really hurt.

I broke my nose and had a hairline fracture in my chin from a fall while running track in Middle school. I'm the only person I know who ever broke their face from running.

Another rider here - although the ribs, right arm and wrist can be blamed on a steer and bilateral ankle fractures (broke left and right at the same time) on a dog

add in 3 herniated discs and now I'm one of those people who slumps over the cart in the grocery store

In March 2006, I broke both my elbows and my right wrist. Also sprained my left wrist. Couldn't drive for 2 months! Couldn't lift anything heavier thana cup of coffee! Very boring 2 months!

The bad thing is, I fell at EXERCISE class! Like I always say, excercise in not good fr you!

Car wreck at 2 years old:
- leg
- fractured skull

The BIG car wreck where I was hit by a drunk driver:
- broken back (now a paraplegic)
- broken jaw

On vacation in Daytona Beach when I was 18:
- slammed finger in hotel door and broke it

My wrist when I was a child and my ankle (three bones) about 20 years ago.

A bit of advice.....NEVER break your ankle. Later in life you will get arthritis and you will be in pain for every step you take. Sorry Blondie, I hope you are the exception and will be lucky to never get arthritis in your ankles.

My youngest son broke his ankle a year ago playing basketball.

A pinky finger, but I had to have a cast up to my elbow because of the way it was broken. I was chasing a 13 yr. old boyfriend who had teasingly stolen my purse and was running around with it. I reached out to grab it and he cut the other way with my pinking hooked in the ring. The finger snapped straight up! It was ugly! Anyway, because of the way it was broken, I wasn't allowed to moved my wrist, so the cast looked like my whole arm was broken. My oldest son once broke his wrist in basketball, and before that cast was off, he broke the opposite ankle in soccer, so he looked like he'd been in a car wreck! He was not happy. (He really wasn't clumsy-just played hard. He was MVP on both teams and Mr. Athletic of the senior class.)

first was in a car accident, it hit the center console, the second time was the day after I got the cast off it from the first break, I fell and it rebroke..that was 35 years ago and thankfully nothing else has broken since then!
