I understand a few perks are available to AAA members.

10% off at selected character/sit down restaurants and Wine Country Tratoria.

I have heard rumors of priority seating at various events? Anyone know what they are? How to get them? Where do you have to show your AAA? Any other discounts or perks?

I found this "Guests on a AAA Vacations® package may redeem a voucher for priority viewing at the first Turtle Talk with Crush show of the day, on any one day"

10% at Plaza Inn, not just when having a character meal.

Things like priority seating is tied in with any package trip you buy thru AAA.

I know in December they had a get a $10 GC wyb an AP, heard about it AFTER we came back.. skipped getting an AP last trip and now kicking myself that I didn't buy one.. oh well.

You can purchase your tickets through an AAA office and get the current $129 price for both adults and kids (3 day park hopper). This includes free parking at the park and one day of early admission. As you mentioned, there is the 10% off of character dining. As someone else said, other perks are based on purchasing a package including some priority seating, lanyard, collectible coin, etc.

I just reserved a package yesterday. I'm not convinced the deal is better than I could have done on my own, but it certainly wasn't much more. If you utilize all the perks, it probably is a good deal. I don't need to put a deposit down for 10 more days, so I'm going to continue to investigate pricing on my own and through Costco.

From Mousesavers:

AAA Discounts

American Automobile Association (AAA) members save 10% on food and beverages (excluding tax, gratuity and alcoholic beverages) at the following locations:

Plaza Inn in Disneyland
Wine Country Trattoria in DCA
Ariel's Grotto in DCA
PCH Grill at Paradise Pier Hotel
Goofy's Kitchen at Disneyland Hotel

---

You also get 20% off the price of tours. I booked "A Walk in Walt's Footsteps" tour for next week, and instead of paying $59 per person, I'm paying $47.20 with my AAA discount.

Do you have to book with AAA to get these discounts? Or do you present the card at the restauarants? What about the tour - did you book it through them or just tell them when you were booking the tour that you have AAA.

No, I didn't have to book with AAA. For the tour, I just called Disneyland at 714-781-4400 to reserve a space and while the CM was taking my information, she asked if I was a AAA member. I gave her my membership number and she charged me the AAA rate. When I show up for the tour, I'll have to show them my card.

I can't answer the restaurant question. I assume you just present the card at the restaurant. I'll be finding out for sure next week. :)

There's one more thing to note: The perks are a big deal particularly if you go during peak times. However, when we went last September, many of the perks were useless, such as the priority seating for the Aladdin musical, which was closed at the time. So you might try to take that into account when you are planning when to go, and who to book through.

I have my packet right in front of me........here's what I have
luggage tags
collectible coin
early entry with parkhoppers
refillabe mug for each of us refillable 5 times a day at pizza port, rancho del zocalo at DL and farmers market in CA
perfred showing of first show turtle talk with crush
collectable pin and lanyard each
perfered seating for Aladdin, muppets 3d, golden dreams , tough to be a bug
free parking if staying off site
diamond card which gives too many discounts to type, but pretty much all DTD resturaunts and some stores
my favorite 10% off anypurchase of 50.00 or more at world of disney store...I do one big shop there at the end of the trip.

Hope that helps

I should probably clarify....I didn't book a vacation package through AAA. I found the cost to be incredibly more expensive than booking it all separately, especially since my company offers such a good discount on tickets.
I'm wondering more on discounts at restaurants in and around the park, anything at the shops, etc. I do now know that the show priority/preferred seating is only through the package, thanks!

I will let you know about the refills neaxt week, I just wonder sbout carrying 4 mugs around all day, but soda is not cheap either, so I think that is a pretty good perk.at 3.00 aprox. each if we each use them for 3 days it 180.00 !

I was wondering about carrying them around as well. I'm hoping they are the type with a snap-on lid and straw. Does anyone know if they will fill them with milk? I don't usually give my kids soda, so it would be nice to have another option. I did notice on some of the posted menus that milk is about the same price as a soda, so hopefully it won't be an issue.

When I bought my nephews pass they asked if I had a AAA card, when I showed it I got a $10 gift card.

I would imagine not with the milk, as the milk they serve at most places is the carton of milk similar to what you'd get at a school

I bought a package , hotel and tickets to get the perks.
Here's the good stuff .............we were able to put what ever was available self serve in the cups as often as we wanted , hot chocolate and coffee too! Milk as far as I remember was in a small bottle. They do not keep track of the times you refill.
