What beach should we go to? Dolphin Cruise?

We have never taken our kids to the beach, but plan to on our trip in May. We are staying at Bonnet Creek, but don't mind to drive a few hours to a pretty beach. Where would you suggest for nice beach that is kid-friendly? Our littlest will just turn 2, and the oldest is 10. We would also like to do a boat ride/dolphin cruise if possible. We did the swim w/ dolphins at Disc Cove last year, so it isn't a necessity, but we thought it would be fun

would go with one of the beaches at or near Tampa - the gulf is lovely and not so scary as the Atlantic Ocean. If you want the Ocean - it is not as pretty or nice as the gulf. My opinion.

as for dolphins you can see them off the coast of both.

you can't touch wild dolphins.
