What bargains can be found at orlando?

Hi, My parents are off to orlando in less than a month, they are staying at a villa and are planning on going to the malls etc.

Just wondering if there is any bargains to be found, for example toys for my dd as my mum will want to pick up christmas presents while she is there for her.

Also where is the best place for designer clothes discounts?

In the electronics line, you'll probably find that the Americans pay in $'s what we pay in £'s. For example a Sony PSP system is around $179 and in the UK the same pack might be £179. When you take the exchange rate into consideration (currently it's > $1.80 to the pound) $179 is about £94. So there are bargains to be had.

However, before going out there all guns blazing, make sure you do your homework first. Decide what you might want to buy and check what the prices are in the UK and online. When you goto the US armed with this information, you should be able to work out if you're getting a good deal - or not. Also, there will be others pointing out that you have a limit of about £145 of goods that you can legally bring back into this country without paying declaring it and paying extra tax - but lose the reciepts and say you boght it in the UK would be my advice.

Probably the best place to go for discounted designer clothes is Premium Outlets at the south end of International Drive.

Designer watches seemed to be a bargain,

Bought my husband a Tag Heur (sp?) from a jewellers in the florida mall and it cost the same in dollars as it did here in pounds.

Found perfume to be on par with prices here except at Orlando International were the prices were great.

For general choice of shops, including some very large department stores (similar to Debenhams or John Lewis) check out the Florida Mall.
There aren't so many 'designer' type outlets, but there are plenty of bargains.
The Old Navy store is really good value for kids clothes.
There is also a large food court and a selection of small coffee shops etc.

There is also good old Walmart

Premier Outlets Mall has a good selection of designer outlets and the Mall at Millenia is the most upmarket.
