I know that there hasn't really been many that have been and gone in the 16 years of DLRP however which one that has gone would you bring back?

For me it would have to be Captain Eo! Much, much better than HISTA that replaced it. However for obvious reasons they would never, ever bring that back.

Hmmmm, interesting. I do miss Captain Eo, but I really miss the Barbershop Quartet, the artisans of the Bazaar, the woodworkers at Cottonwood Creek Ranch, the indian crafts in Frontierland, the sword wielding buccaneers, the shoot outs of frontierland. I miss the canoes, Main Street Motors, Chewbacca and the droids in Discoveryland. The flames on the water near Orbitron.

But it is a tie - I miss the Lucky Nugget Revue and most of all, I miss Le Visionarium, the one attraction that really embodied the spirit of Discoveryland.

As I never got to ride the original version of Space Mountain, I'd bring this back. I hated roller-coasters for ages, then I went on Mission 2 in 2005 and now you can't keep me off them! To try De la Terre à la Lune would be awesome!

Oh, I've changed my mind. I want the original version of Space Mountain back or at least the music!!!!!

I think I'd have to vote for the old christmas parade.

As much as I like OUAD, I've had a look at the video on Youtube of the christmas version and the christmas aspect just feels a bit "tacked on the end" if you know what I mean.

I really liked the old Christmas parade where all the characters wore special christmas clothing and the whole parade was performed to the sounds of "Chante, c'est noel...", rather than just a small snippet of it.

For that matter, the christmas parade before that was also pretty good, performed to the Nutcracker suite.

Basically, bring back the true christmas parades :santa:

Oh, if we are counting old shows etc. I really miss the Main Street Electical Parade. Fanti is ok, but MSEP was pure magic, and I miss it very much.

also I used to adore the Mulan show. The most amazing acrobats and a wonderful score. I like the Lion King but I loved Mulan.

Also I miss Beauty and the Beast and Roc Shoc - that was a really fun show.

I would bring back the artists who created the amazing silhouettes (sp) in the Arcades. I have a gorgeous one of ds with Mickey and woud love one of dd with Minnie

I hate to say it, in the shops, dining and attractions department it has been down hill for the last 10 years at least. The last awesome addition was when Space Mountain opened.

Yes, the shows have been great (notebly Mulan, Tarzan and Lion King), but everything else has gotten worse.

At least in the Village we have seen some decent improvements and I like WDSP. But it is so sad.

what was captain eo and why did they get rid of it??

the original version of Space Mountain and the original version of Manhattan restaurant.

I have never experienced all the artists and crafts some other poster mentioned, but would love to see those too!

It was a Michael Jackson thing.

I have a little clip of it on some older Disney videos which advertised DLRP when it was fairly new.... :goodvibes

Captain Eo opened in 1986 at Disneyland in California (I was there) staring Michael Jackson, it was a Francis Ford Coppola/George Lucas/Disney production (with Jim Henson Creatures, Michael Jackson and Angelica Houston and was the first Disney 3D film with in theatre effects and using Kodak's 1st polarising 3D film technology used in MuppetVision 3D, HISTA, It's Tough to be a Bug, Philharmagic, and Toy Story Mania.

When EuroDisneyland opened it was touted as a star attraction, and MTV also made a big deal of showing it too.

The music predated BAD by 1 year.

It then opened in Epcot and Tokyo Disneyland soon after. It closed about 5 years after HISTA premiered in Epcot.

I miss it.

I remember watching something similar or maybe it was the same thing of MJ in WDW, i was only 9 at the time but it wasnt nothing special IMO.

It was at the time it came out. All the players were huge, and the world had never seen the technology so slick (3D had red and blue plastic glasses before that and was poor). At the time, this was mega. so much so DL was open for 24 hours to celebrate!!!!

24 hours to celebrate :scared1:

IMO The Muppets 3d is the best.

Yep, it was awesome!!!!

I like Muppetvision 3D - especially Statler and Waldorf AAs, but I think It's Tough to be a Bug is the most impressive, especially the Hopper AA (plus it's a little scary too!!!!):thumbsup2
