You have to look towards rides which'll become classics like Haunted Mansion or Pirates of the Carribean are. This is hard to judge for UO since the parks are relatively new.
I would say Cat in the Hat is a top possibility. These kind of dark rides never get old, kids' attraction are important at IOA, and what else would they put there. Same can go for Caro-Suess-Al. The carousel is usually a lock to stay.
I honestly don't think anything is safe at the Studios. Nothing there has really become a classic. Something makes me think Jaws would have the highest chance of staying.
I agree about Jaws too. Though it can be ultra-corny, it's a classic. Men in Black I think will be there for a long time.
I think Twister should be improved...not completely retired. Maybe they should take elements from other attractions to combine for an ultimate experience. I'm talking the visuals, but also "feeling it" I'm talking along the lines of the Hurricane Winds attraction at MOSI (is that still there?). You get my drift.
But I basically only go on one ride: Men in Black. Sometimes Jaws and occassionally BTTF. The rest of the day is reserved for shows.
If they got rid of all the shows...I'd probably stop going to US. May just spend more time at the IOA part...and go only a couple times a year instead of over 35.
Oh the names escaping me now, but the ride where you go into the subway and the truck explodes and the subway gets flooded. This ride to me is what the movies are about, special effects and such, and since Universal is themed around the movies, this could never go. Catastophe Canyon is the name maybe?

Earthquake is what making movies is about and yes, the beginning may be a bit long but it's :"edutainment", my son and I never get enough of it. I have a degree in theatre so Earthquake and the old Hitchcock represented what the world's largest working studio should be about.

If you can get into the first pre-show in the beginning or up front you can walk through into the group ahead of you skipping the edutainment. We were going to do this last visit until I got volunteered for stunt man.
