What area to request at OKW?

We're staying at OKW for the first time in April. It will be me, DH, DD8 and DD11. Last year we stayed at SSR and stayed in the Grand Stand area but close to the main building/pool. It worked out great because it was only a short walk to the pool and restaurant but not loud or crowded.

I have no idea what area to request at OKW. We'll have a rental car so buses aren't an issue although we sometimes take the bus to MK. We'd like to be near the main pool and community hall but don't want it to be loud at night. We'll probably be getting up for rope drop most days so morning noise doesn't matter but we'll need to be able to get the girls to sleep fairly early at night.

Thanks for any advice and opinions!

Boy Goofygirl17, it seems like I'm following you around here on the boards, I'm glad I can share my experiences.

I would simply request being near HH area, that is a guaranteed booking category and if you get it you will be guaranteed to be in either building 11,12,13,14,23,24,25,or 26 which are the closest buildings to the main amenities of the resort. Buildings 13 and 14 are my favorites, just stayed in building 13 two weeks ago. It might be a little late to get it now for April but ask anyway and if not available ask to be waitlisted.
OKW is a very quiet resort, you shouldn't have any noise problems unless you get noisy neighbors.

We were in building 62 on our trip last September - it was our first trip to OKW and we only booked it a few weeks out.

It is really close to Hospitality House and our room overlooked the bridge on Peninsular road. That was a GREAT room - we loved it!

It was a 2-3 minute walk to HH - just across peninsular road.

So very close to the buses, HH, and there was parking right in front of the building - and there is an Elevator.

We booked months ago for April and could not get into the HH area, so you probably won't get in the area. But like you said, you have a car so bussing is not an issue.

We like the Turtle Pond area. Quiet pool is nice, Turltle Shack has snacks. There are also some great views of the golf courses.

Buildings 15, 16 and 17 are not that far of a walk to the pool either.

Thanks everyone. I called today to get our DVC reservation number and requested just to be somewhere near the main pool because our girls are very excited to use the Sandcastle slide!

Can't wait! I wish my ticker was working.
