What are your WDW traditions/ quirks?

hi all,

I was wondering if anyone had any quirks or things that they always did when it came to WDW.

For example,

When I got off POTC once, I could have sworn it said to “tell the world you set sail with Blackbeard.” Now, every time I walk in to the store I yell it as loud as I can. Mostly I do it now because it embarrasses my DD every time. She looks at me when we get off and says, “Don’t say it, Dad...”

Also, whenever we eat at Pecos Bill’s, we try to eat in the room up the ramp near Tortuga Tavern. We always put a token or trinket in the pocket of the coat hanging on the wall and check next trip to see if it’s still there. It’s always gone!

We also, when we ride the safari, like to act all exacerbated when they tell us that the road to elephant country is “closed”. We’re all like, “seriously?! Of all the days, of course when we’re here..!”

Once, when we were waiting for a bus, my DD said she heard it coming around a corner and was freaking out for us to get the stroller folded. When it came around the bend, it turned out to be a golf cart pulling linens. Now, whenever we’re at a bus stop and a cart is coming we make a big deal like our ride just showed up.

Anyone else have any weird things/ quirks/ traditions/ dad jokes that seem instinctual?

There used to be a wooden bench in camp Minnie mickey in AK that dh would always have a 5 minute power nap on while I joined a meet and greet line, of course it is sadly no more so he will have to find a new nap spot this year.

Ours flight usually gets in at around 3pm so by the time we clear immigration and get our rental car and get to the hotel we're ready for dinner... Which is always a pepperoni pizza from the all star sports food court! Not sure why we kept up this one but it wouldn't be arrival day without it!!

The first morning we always go to Chef Mickey for breakfast then off to MK. Once we arrive at magic kingdom first thing we ride the railroad around the whole park. We have memorized the all the dialog so our whole group speaks right along with the host. As many times as we have been it's always the same first-morning tradition.

Translation: "Scream it at the top of your lungs!" (Hey, it's opposite world when it comes to kids, no?)

....we used to do this same thing when our boys were younger....
