What are your top 3 podcasts? (Disney and Non-Disney)

Since there is no podcast for this week, lets share our top 3 podcasts. We all love the Disunplugged, but are there others that you like on other topics? (Are there any other topics?) :rotfl:

So lets list some podcasts, maybe we'll find something to tide us over.

Top 3 for me:

Disunplugged
Limenviolet (a knitting podcast, but they are very funny, and even non-knitters may like them b/c they never stay on the topic of knitting)
3 Wine Guys (I love wine, and I have learned a lot, not family friendly.)

Others worth mentioning:

I like TV, so the TV talk podcast with Ducky and GMMR is good, (They would be in my top 3, but they don't update enough)

I like the soaps, so the Pine Valley Podcast is very funny to me. It is commentary about "All My Children" along with a smattering of other TV shows with a Latin flair. Very funny!

So what others do you all like? Turn me onto something new!

I can't believe you beat me to Limenviolet. I love them. I have only been listening for a short time, so I don't know everything. Is Violet splitting up with SideShow Husband? I am listening from the beginning, but I am only up to #27 and that is 2 years ago?

Anyway, your first 2 are my top 2 as well. I would say my 3rd is WDW Today. I also love CarTalk and a couple of other knitting podcasts.

DisUnplugged is my #1
Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me is #2

I love both of them.

Those are the only two I usually listen to.
I download WDW Today-but I usually don't listen to it very often

Another L&V fan, yay! I was wondering about Miss V and SSH, but I don't think so. She is so ADD however, who knows? She is always on the move to the next big thing. I miss Karen! (she took over for Lime for a while). I like Lime, but they never talk about knitting anymore.

I'll have to check out CarTalk. I am getting into Knitmore Girls, good knitting content. :thumbsup2

Fun topic-

1. ESPNU College Football - I'm a college football nut, even more than a Disney nut.
2. Dis Unplugged - no explanation needed
3. Dave Ramsey Show - Some consider it common sense, but common sense isn't very common anymore

My two other Disney Pod Casts are-
-WDW Today- quick, entertaining, and fun
-Inside the Magic - I tend to fast forward through a section or so per show but all in all well done

side note- I tried Ricky Briganti's(sp?) show, but it's not for me. I think it was the review he did that made the T-Rex Cafe sound like the best restaurant this side of the French Laundry that ended it for me.

I only subscribe to 3

1. DIS Unplugged
2. Apple Quick Tips
3. Rolling R's: Spanish Lesson Videos

But after reading through these I see a few more I would like to try.

Wow I thought I was the only one that was going to mention Lime and Violet :)

My 3 would be:
Disunplugged
WDW Today
Lime and Violet

DIS
Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me
Skeptic's Guide to the Universe

Also ran:
The Horror
Classic Tales

I have 5 that I listen to every week on my ZUNE!! that's right I have a ZUNE but I also have an iphone so I am cool but not so much LOL!!!

#1 the DIS
#2 WDW Radioshow
#3 Netcot
#4 Inside the Magic
#5 The MUPPETCAST

1.Dis
2.WDW Today
3.WDW Radio

I just started listening to wdwnewstoday(I think that's the right name) anyway I am starting to really enjoy it.

I'm going to have to look for Lime & Violet. I do listen to some knitting podcasts, but mostly for the special guests. I used to listen to Cast On faithfully, but then I found so many other podcasts that were more appealing to me.

Oh, and I sometimes tune in to the Planet Money podcast, but stopped subscribing when I couldn't keep up (and it got too depressing to listen to the financial hole we're in - ugh)

Other than the DIS Unplugged, I really only keep up with 2 other podcasts:

WDW Today
WDW Radio Show

What is the Character Breakfast podcast about? I'm assuming it's got to cover more than just the character breakfasts or it seems like they'd run out of material too quickly.

I have downloaded Netcot, but I haven't started listening to it yet until I finish catching up on my existing podcasts.

Character Breakfast is a twice a month podcast where they talk about the news, do a mini restaurant review - nothing like Kevin, feature an attraction....it's just a talk show but have quirky characters. It's humerous and fun. Nothing serious or indepth.

Clearly you must be another engineering professional (geek) like me. ;)

I am the same way with Security Now, it just takes too much active listening to be enjoyable but I definitely have "podcast guilt" for not listening to it every time I choose a Disney podcast to listen to instead. :guilty:

Does anyone else suffer from "podcast guilt" for not listening to a particular podcast that they subscribe to or having too many "new" podcasts in iTunes?

Yep I am a GEEK definitely not to be confused with a nerd!

It's funny DisUnplugged was the last podcast I started listening to (right before Bob passed) and it is by far my favorite and now always goes to the top of my list.

WDW Today
Lime and Violet

Another Lime and Violet fan. We are just everywhere. I need to email Miss Violet and tell her how much I love their podcast. And where she can find her fans in the such unrelated places. The next time I get some yarn, I think I am going to get the Lime and Violet from Lisa Souza and the Pink Ribbon Violet. They are both great colors. And of course there are about 20 I want off of Etsy. Etsy is EVIL.

They also turned me on to Socks That Rock, another evil website that sucks the money from my wallet. :scared:

1.Dis

3.WDW Radio

Yeah, WDW News Today is a great podcast. I like it second only to the Dis.

Tom Corliss, who is the host of WDW News Today also hosts the Disney Pincast, for all you pin collectors/traders out there. Very cool as well.

Yeah, I like Character Breakfast and that's pretty good summary of it.

And Netcot is actually one of the funniest Disney Podcasts out there, in my opinion.

My top three podcasts right now are:

  • DIS Unplugged
  • WDW Today
  • TWiT (This Week in Tech)

:thumbsup2

Me Too! How strange is that!

I also listen to Windows Weekly, also hosted by Leo Laporte of TWIT.

I used to listen to the Magical Definition Podcast, but if I have to hear Jim Hill say "Umm" or "Uhh" one more time I'd shoot my ipod. I really enjoy listening to his ruminations on all things Disney, but the last time I listened, I counted 30 "umms" in the course of about 4 minutes. It was driving me crazy!

But Dis unplugged is and always will be number one.

This week without a show, I found myself actually listening to MUSIC :rotfl:
