We haven't been for a few years and never in the summer heat so having to build in a mid-afternoon break is throwing me off a bit. We're staying at Pop 8/18-8/25, have 2 rooms. The tricky part is that our first 2 nights are on a room-only and the rest are on the package, so I think our FP+ bookings start at 60 days from the 20th, right? Also, one room has deluxe dining (the only way dh will do disney) so we have more than your typical number of TS restaurants.

8/18: arrival, dinner at Artist Point at 5, possibly go to MK before or after depending on our moods, probably no FP this day. Maybe FP+ Splash Mountain as it's DS' favorite.

8/19: Brunch @ CG @ 10:30, if we're up for it we can go to MK before. Epcot after Brunch w/ FP+ for one of the tier ones, whatever we can get. Take a break around 2 then head back to World Showcase in the evening and snack around the world for dinner. If we can get an evening FP+ for something at Epcot, great.

8/20: EMH @ DHS: FP+ what we can in Toy Story Land plus Star Tours and RnR hopefully before noon (we made the mistake of taking DS16 on ToT as his first ride when he was 4, he's never forgiven us and won't ride it again :rotfl2:). RD the other Toy Story rides. Lunch at 12 @ Bon Voyage, then break. Go to Epcot in the evening w/ dinner @ 5 @ Chef's de France.

8/21: MK: FP+ 7DMT, Splash, Thunder, Peter Pan (whatever 3 I can get), RD the other. Aim for FP+ before noon. Break around 1, dinner at Artist Point @ 5. Evening off.

8/22: AK FP+ Avatar or Na'vi, ride the other at RD. Also FP+ Everest and Kilimajaro along w/ either Nemo or Lion King, aim for FP+ between 11 & 1. Breakfast @ 10 @ Tusker House w/ ROL package. Break around 1. Head back to ROL @ 8:45 (is it worth the return trip?)

8/23: EMH @ Epcot: FP+ FEA, Mission Space, Spaceship Earth. RD Soarin or Test Track. Breakfast @ GG @ 10. Break around 1. Evening @ DS w/ dinner at Homecoming.

8/24: EMH @ MK (or sleep in if we want) FP+ 7DMT, Splash, Thunder, Peter Pan (whatever 3 I can get), RD whatever we want. Lunch @ Ohana @ 11:45. Break. Dinner @ Jungle Skipper @ 4:40 then MNSSHP.

8/25: revisit our favorite, I may go ahead and get FP+ for DHS and cancel them if we don't use them. Then leave for home

Anything you'd change? I'm a couple weeks out from FP+ booking time.

I'm not an expert, so others will probably chime in with more advice, but for the most part it looks good to me! I would just advise to be flexible with your break times. Since you're doing breakfast/lunches, you may not be able to get FPs or all the rides you want to do in before your breaks.

I think you may have an issue with the AK schedule. When we went this past January, the earliest FoP FP+ we could get was at 12:45, and we did AK at a similar point in our trip. Now things may have settled a bit, but you may have to be flexible with your break there. Also, Nemo is about a 45 minute show, and I think you typically should arrive 20 or so minutes early, so that'll eat up a ton of time. Similar story for Lion King, except the show is only 30 minutes. So my advice is just be flexible with the breaks depending on what FPs you can get.

I personally enjoyed Rivers of Light, but not sure if I'd make the return trip for it unless I was staying at a resort close to AK. It was enjoyable, but I think in reality I'd be too lazy relaxing at my resort to go all the way back to AKL just for that.

That's alot of TS meals but to each is own. I typically eat less when the temp is high. Heavy stomachs, heat and rides don't mixed.
Your breaks on the 19th, 20th, & 21st short. By the time you eat late breakfast/early lunch which will take about an hour or more, get back to the hotel for the break, the break will be at most 2 hours before time to leave for dinner. When I take a break on my summer trips it usually is short swim and/or shower, nap/rest for a least 1-2 hours, and it seems to take us at least another 30-45 mins to get going again. So I plan a minimum of 3 hours at resort plus travel time to and from parks in the break time.
