What are your plans for today? Beings it's actually going to be hot!

The sun always seems to put a spring in everyone's step and makes them want to go out and about. So what do you all have planned?

I'm heading to the place I always head when it's hot and that's Thorpe park! Aka my second home! Will hopefully catch some rays today and start off a tan before my holiday, which as of tomorrow I can officially say "I'm going to disney world next month" exciting times

It's been a lovely day here both yesterday and today, DD came home from uni for good (temporary good, I told her ) so have spent the weekend helping her sort her stuff out plus enjoyed chilling in the garden. Also got to see our new great-nephew, he's 10 days old and soooooo sweet!

Sounds brilliant everyone I know that has seen him are raving about it!

Thorpe was good had a drama with loosing my flip (flop stayed on) on nemesis inferno just before you go up the lift bit! Big drama as I was told it couldn't be retrieved until 6pm! And that I'd have to buy some new shoes! Ok so it wasn't the biggest deal I walked to the shop bare foot (ouch ouch ouch) and they only have men's trainers size 10/11, not much help for me (a women with size 6 feet) they then sent me to guest services who I had to explain it all to basically saying that I didn't mind buying new shoes but the park had no women's shoes what so ever! So she then called through to the ride and they said they would save flip :-D

So we walk all the way back to nemesis inferno exit (big ouch) and 3 lovely men had come to rescue my flip just for me lol, flip and flip were finally reunited and I could get on with my day! (I must add I never wear flip flops on the rides the guys had rushed me on and I asked them to take my flip flops and got told no) lol. Never will they say no again!

Not to add we had many palaver's before this one - road works around the thorpe area so an hour in traffic (boo) & apparently invalid tickets so they wouldn't let us in (well she a rude lady working at the park) she told us to walk halfway back across the car park to the blue building to ask for new tickets otherwise she would not be letting us in! So we trek back to the blue building and explain! And there happens to be a manager listening, she was like grrrrr that stupid women come with me! Walked us to the gate, had a go at her basically saying "can you stop sending people over here and wasting their time, just take their tickets and let them in to enjoy their day"

Thank god for the manager lol she basically said what I wanted to say haha!

After all the hassle in the morning it turned out to be a fab day! :-D although I am rather sun burnt lol!
