I love pandora. It's really the only music I listen to that's not a cd. Right now I'm listening to my Greenday station. Beck has come up, Johny Cash, Muse, Sevendust, The White Stripes, Nirvana, Saliva, The Gorrilaz. It's a good mix all based on thumbs up or down. I have a bunch of stations. Some are based on one artist and thumbs up or down. Others I've added musicians as they've come up. Haha Greenday hasn't come up in awhile.

The station is getting a little to heavy metal. I like it but it's not what I"m looking for when I'm putting on this station. I'm going to have to thumbs down to some of the stuff I actually like.

wow I thought I had a diverse mix of stations. You beat me. But it's cool.

Eddie Vedder (gets your Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews, Ben Harper, Kings of Leon, etc.), Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Jack Johnson, Gordon Lightfoot, Leo Kottke, Loreena McKennitt.

I would like these stations and that first mix.

Old school here:

Tom Jones
Righteous Brothers
Frankie Valli and the 4 Seasons
Billy Joel
Funkadelic
Christmas Songs
Motown Christmas
David Bowie
Carman
Stevie Wonder
Earth Wind and Fire

Love love LOVE Pandora. It's almost impossible to find these people on Atlanta Radio! :thumbsup2

Mama's and the Papa's
Karen Carpenter
Simon and Garfunkel
John Denver
Beatles
Peter, Paul and Mary
Christmas

Got a few minutes?

Here are just some of mine:

Frank Sinatra, Frank Zappa, The Beatles, Merle Haggard, Roger Miller, Tom Lehrer, Burt Bacharach, Iron Maiden, Jane Siberry, Electric Six, White Rabbits, Nino Rota/Carmine Coppola, Talking Heads, Guns N' Roses, Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys, Stephen Sondheim, Alan Menken, Will Oldham, Bonnie "Prince" Billy, Pere Ubu, Jethro Tull, The Smiths, Public Enemy, Daft Punk, Aphex Twin, The Statler Brothers, John Barry, Hans Zimmer, Rush, Midnight Oil, R.E.M., They Might Be Giants... and many, many more.

My one reliable station is Carbon Leaf radio (cool band, btw, check 'em out.) That station brings up a good, reliable mix everytime. There are lots of other bands I like, but Pandora doesn't bring up good related artists. For example, I'm a Bon Jovi fan, but can't do a Bon Jovi Pandora station. It will just bring up a bunch of 80s hair metal (which is cute for about 2 songs.) It's like the Pandora folks just threw Jovi in that category, disregarding their music of the subsequent 20 years.

Wow and I thought I was old school! Going to add the Carpenters and Simon and Garfunkel right now!! :woohoo:

The station I'm currently listening to was started by seeding - Tegan & Sara, Guided by Voices, Le Roux, & The New Pornographers. It created a pretty good mix, and I've given a lot of thumbs up to weed out some of the stuff I didn't want.

The other station I listen to frequently started with seeds of Blur, Kaiser Chiefs, the Jam, the English Beat, & New Order.

My tastes in music vary so much. I've got Pandora stations that feature Enya & Yanni, all the way to ones that feature heavier metal stuff like Sonata Arctica.

American Pie is playing right now!! I love this era of music, maybe because it was what I grew up with.

LOL, they played American Pie yesterday and the kids in my office were SHOCKED that I knew EVERY SINGLE WORD!! "helter skelter in the summer swelter.." CLASSIC!

I like the fact that they add other songs that match the original and you're able to THUMBS DOWN those you can live without. Pandora is the BOMB!! :cool1:

The only think I don't like is that you can only listen for so many minutes each month. I use the Sirius stations on our Dish a lot too-usually have it tuned to the 70's station.

Oh, I have a ton...
Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit (my current favorite)
Mike Gordon
Phish
David Bowie
Moe.
Widespread Panic
Grace Potter and the Nocturnals
Smashing Pumpkins
The Black Keys

(that's just a sampling)

Yes, I only listen at work so I have to spread it out. I keep an eye on how many hours I have left, was thrilled to see all 40 on 11/1!:thumbsup2

The only one I have is Nickelback, and that gives me almost everything I need :thumbsup2
