I'm heading out to the grocery store this morning. I'm sure I'll pick up more candy because I'm always afraid of not having enough.

My husband and I are taking DD19 and her boyfriend to lunch. They are poor college students and appreciate any free meals they can get.:)

I want to hit Kohls, Babies R Us, and Borders on the way home.

I'm looking forward to seeing all the cute trick-or-treaters this evening. I have a feeling we'll get quite a few of them. This is our first year in this neighborhood, and there are a lot kids in the community and a lot of houses. I've noticed that quite a few neighbors have put in a lot of time and effort decorating their houses and front yards. I keep forgetting to ask some of the long time residents, but I'm guessing trick-or-treating is big here!

The weather is supposed to be in the high 70s this evening, perfect for getting out and about!

Hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween!:)

I'm running out to the store as well. I need to find lollipop sticks as I'm making the recipe for the mini candy apples someone posted on here. DD21 and I will probably go out to lunch, too and then clean the house and get ready to go to my niece's to watch her kids trick or treat. She'll have about 20 or more there tonight and we'll have a campfire and play Catch Phrase.

We've already had our Trick or Treat night this past Thursday and Halloween parties last night. DD has a volleyball tournament, DS has a cross country event, so it will start out like any other Saturday. It is an overcast, yucky Fall day here, so it kind of fits the dreary theme. I plan on making a nice warm fall dinner and hopefully tonight we can spend some quality cozy family time we're so needing!
Happy Halloween everyone! pirate:princess::hippie::cheer2:

We are heading up to the elementary school for some kind of festivity going on. Then we will come home and wait til it's time to go out for ToT. In between, I will be fighting with DS11 to finish his math homework and a book that needs to be read by the end of this weekend. The sun is shining, and it's nice and warm out..tshirt and shorts for my attire tonight.

Wish me luck.

Going to happy hour with DH for the half price apps and then home for light dinner and handing out candy and of course rooting for the Yankees.

DD's Dance performance at noon
DS's soccer game at 1pm
DD's company dance practice at 2pm
Church fall festival at 4pm
DH's work family Halloween party at 6pm
Watching OSU beat Texas at 7pm :)

I'm going to go trick-or-treating.
Also, if I have any time left afterwards, I'm going to get a chair out on our porch, sit down in it with my soul reaper costume on, with my face facing down, and wait for people to come by to get candy so I can scare the crap out of them!
Aren't I sweet?:lmao:

We're running some errands and anxiously awaiting trick or treaters. I will dress up to hand out candy. :)

:scared1: Now promise you won't scare any of the littlest trick-or-treaters. I remember one particular Halloween when my oldest daughter was three. We walked up to a house that was lined with life-sized ghosts. All of them were sticks covered with sheets, or so we thought. As we passed the one closest to the house, it moved! There was a person underneath the sheet, and it scared the...well, you know what out of all of us!

It was years (well, a long time anyway) before my daughter would walk passed that house without fear!:headache:

Don't worry, I have my limits, I'm only going to scare the teenagers and adults. Promise!:cutie:

Well here in Jersey it's been crappy all day. Dreary, rainy, windy. As one who can't wait for halloween I'm not in the best mood. I just hope the rain holds out for tot.
Spending a summer building props for one day and not being able to display some due to the weather. Well I guess you can figure out my mood.:headache:

Just made Halloween cupcakes, going to my sister's house around 4, so her kids and my DS can go TOT together.

I'm spending the day waiting for furniture to be delivered. Tonight I'll help mt DD take her 3 kids out to trick or treat. When i'm done that DH and I are going to a Halloween Party. I'm going as a PHILLIES fan.

We had our trick-or-treating on Thursday so today I am just cleaning, doing an Oktoberfest type dinner....pork, kraut, German potato salad, soft pretzels with candy & caramel apples for dessert and then spooky movies by candle light tonight. Mwaaahaahaa!!!!

Happy Halloween everyone!!!! :)

My 13yodd came down with the flu yesterday. So I am "nurse mom" for Halloween.

We hang out Halloween evening with a few of the neighbors.

We put chairs and tables on my driveway and they all bring their bowls of candy over. Some of us decorate our yards, though not over the top.

We potluck food and set that up in my dining room.

One neighbor makes her chili, which we all love. Another is bringing mummy hotdogs and salad. I'm making corn bread, mac and cheese and maybe pumpkin muffins.

There will be a couple desserts of course, though why with all that candy...and there is always some kind of a frosty adult beveridge available.

I really need to get off the disboards and get going.......

Happy Halloween!
