Hi Disers I've asked this before and loved all the great traditions folks had.Ours are we always arrive on a Sunday and after we check in at OKW and unpack and settle in.We go to DTD for a little shopping and later that night go to 7:15 HDDR.After HDDR we go on hayride then down to beach to watch Electric Water Parade on beach.Plus it is our tradition to go to MVMCP,CP and Osborne Lights on our December trip.We also take one day to resort hop to see all the wonderful resort decorations. :goodvibes :wizard: :wave2:

Well for the past two years we have been staying at the Contempary Resort. Our tradition is to arrive on a Saturday evening, unpack and get something to eat, go to the Magic Kingdom if we have time, then go back to the hotel (if we were able to go) and watch the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom from our hotel balcony.:wizard: On the day before we leave, we usually go to Downtown Disney to shop, and always stop in at Ghiradellis. :mickeybar

We always go shopping in DTD our first day. Up until our last trip we also used to do dinner at Chef Mickey's before going shopping.

Since we'll be staying at the Poly, we will probably just hang out & enjoy the resort. Of course , theres always the monorail ride around the lagoon & Wishes from the beach. Not a bad way to start the week. We'll have the 7 day MYW tickets & an 8 day stay, so if the urge is strong enough we may drop in to the MK for a few hrs. in the evening....who knows.
Arrival day is the one day that we're gonna play by ear a bit.

We're going to start a new tradition of going to Chef Mickey's for dinner to "kick things off" and then watch Wishes! Can't wait.

We always get to the GF really early (between 7 and 8 am) check in and hit the MK. Our tradition is always lunch at Columbia Harbor House and Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern followed by SPectro and Wishes. Our last night dinner is always 1900 Park Fare Cinderellas Gala Feast.

Our traditon is to start the trip with dinner at Chef Mickey's and end the trip with breakfast at Chef Mickey's. :flower:

We always arrive on a Saturday and go to the Rainforest Cafe with the Kingdom Lunch Vouchers to get the Lobster and my favorite Bananas Foster. Then on to the Magic Kingdom until it closes to catch some rides, see Spectromagic, and Wishes. We'll have to figure out another dinner spot for our first night now that they've done away with our vouchers. :sad2:

So far, our first day has always included a trip to HDD. We feel like it's the perfect way to start our WDW experience.

We also always close out every WDW trip with fireworks in MK. That's our "kiss goodbye."

Last time our first ride was Splash Mountain, I hope we ride it first again next august to make it a tradition... ;)

Hit the pool!
Nothing says vacation to me like a refreshing post-flight swim. And I go by my last few trips, hitting Epcot for dinner and Illuminations have become traditions.

We usually arrive on Tuesday's at BWV by 3:30-4:00 in the afternoon. If our rooms are ready get things organized in them and then off to MK. We always eat dinner at LTT that evening and watch the parade and fireworks.

We USUALLY drive, so our first day is really, well, driving. It's 8.5 hours for us. We arrive around 1:30 or 2:00. We don't go to the parks or anything like that on arrival day. We may take a swim, eat dinner, then go to bed and that's about it. But, we do have a tradition on our first full day. We always start with breakfast at Kona Cafe and then we go to the Magic Kingdom. Our first ride is always Splash Mountain! What a way to start off the week!

Breakfast at Chef Mickey's ... It really puts us in the Disney mood :)

We always check-in & get settled, then go to MGM, but only to take the boat over to the Swan. We love the boat ride over!! Then we walk to play putt-putt golf, last two times we have watched the fantasmic fireworks while playing the last few holes. Finally we walk to the board walk & grab supper at ESPN Zone, it is always 1st Sunday night in Jan., so we have to try & catch the last of the playoff game (doesn't seem to matter who's playing :confused3 ). Then we bus to DDT & back to the FW cabins.

I don't know how this started, but when I try to suggest something new for the first night I get 4 angry looks. I guess we just can't start things off right without DS beating us all at a round of putt-putt!!

Dinner at Cape May Clambake and then the first attraction we ride is the newest attraction that we have never been on...... :rolleyes1
