What are your favorite things to eat?

I've posted this several times that my all-time favorite beverage is the Iced Cappuccino from the Epcot restaurant Boulangerie Patisserie in France. I have a picture above my desk at work to cheer me up when I feel the need. My kids call is liquid gold because I guard it with my life when I get one. BTW - if anyone knows how I can get the machine at home, please let me know!

Ok lets see here popcorn::!!. The deep fried green beans at Yak and Yeti, love themmmm
The Pretzels at Germany In Epcot, yum, the hot and sour soup at nine draggons at china In Epcot and 9 Draggons kung po chicken.
The topping bar at Pecos Bill, the little donut balls at Crystal palace, breakfast, Everything at the Biergarten at Germany In Epcot:lmao:

I'm a vegetarian so this isn't actually my favorite thing to eat, but my DH loves the lamb (I think) soup at Restaurant Marrakesh. We've eaten there both times we've gone to WDW and we already have a reservation to go again this year. I'm almost certain he goes for that soup.

I'm another Dole Whip fan, and I have to get a Mickey ice cream bar whenever I'm there. And I know this isn't exactly fine dining, but Pecos Bill's has a really good veggie wrap that I have to have at least once. It's simple but really good! And there's somewhere at one of the parks (my brain is failing me) where you can get a pretzel filled with creamed cheese and I love those so much! I've been pining for one lately.

For the drinkers out there, the cottontini at T-Rex is really good.

You have to try the big peanut butter cups and "selma" cookies in any Goofy's Candy Co. or bakery. The white chocolate raspberry cookie is wonderful. The specialty apples are to die for too! The Yachtsmen Steakhouse in the Yacht Club has the best steak anyway and the most amazing side dishes. I love the creamed spinach and the truffle macaroni and cheese. There is a tiny tequila bar in Epcot's "Mexico" marketplace. It's called the la cava or something. Walk in and down the ramp and it's on the left. It's easy to miss! The food is great and it's mostly appetizer portions. Very authentic. The Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom is a buffet that is actually REALLY good, and so is Hollywood and Vine in Hollywood Studios. I'm partial to Cystal Palace because Winnie the Pooh is the star and Hollywood and Vine was JoJo's Circus, which was really annoying, but all the food was great. There are so many good things in Disney World, that's just a few of my favorites! Oh and Tony's Town Square Restaurant on Main Street :)

Writer's Stop @ DHS (I just looked it up on allears.net) I totally plan on bee-lining it there :cloud9:

That's it Writers Stop! :cloud9: Thanks. I can't believe we missed those cupcakes before. That will be a must have on our next trip. :goodvibes

Oh, now I am dying for Le Cellier pretzel bread! :worship: I also love the chocolate ginger cake from Tokyo Dining.

i have my list of the best disney foods in my opinion!
  • mashed potatoes at seasons in epcot
  • smoked turkey leg
  • fried chicken from prime time cafe
  • cape may buffet
  • mickey ice cream head bar

i always hear about dole whips! what exactly is a dole whip and where can i find one?

A dole whip is pineapple frozen yogurt. You can also get a dole whip float with pineapple juice. It'S found in magic kingdom in the entrance to adventureland from main street.

OMG!!!!
Just when I thought planning to go to WDW was awesome, now my mouth is watering and I can't wait to start planning our eats!

Thanks! :thumbsup2

At each park and/or resort?

I want to plan out certain things to try on this trip-the only thing I know for certain is I have to have another Dole Whip Float!!

What else is too good to miss?

The only certain plans we have are dinner at the Garden Grill and House of Blues since we have the restaurant.com certificates.

I always have to have the Celebration Cheesecake at Sci-Fi and the cinnamon rolls at the bakery on Main Street. My DD just asked me if we can get up early every morning on our upcoming trip and go to MK to get one of those rolls for breakfast. I can't wait!!

Pretzel bread at the Biergarten in Germany.

Nearly anything the Boulangerie in France sells. On a hot day 2 weeks ago I had one of my best meals ever there: a cold ham & swiss cheese sandwich on an impossibly long, crusty french bread (also one of the best bargains in the park at $5.25), a Napoleon, and from the stand outside a Grand Marnier Slush. I was so tired of hot food on that hot, hot trip.

Loved at least 3/4 of the items on the buffet at Boma; particular standouts were the nut-encrusted salmon and several of the hot rice dishes. One had saffron & golden raisins in it; another was sweetened with coconut milk. Oh, and the foufou potatoes (white potatoes & sweet potatoes mashed together with honey and a little cinnamon). Zebra domes.

Monster size cupcakes of various flavors/varieties, available all around the World. DH got a Butterfinger cupcake at DisneyQuest that was just the thing to fuel up another few hours of game-playing while we waited for the murderous sun to go down one afternoon. DD got a white chocolate one at the Kusafiri coffee cart at AK, too.

The pork at O'hana. The bread pudding topped with vanilla ice cream and a pitcher of Bananas Foster sauce at O'hana. The kindly CM who gave us 2 plastic to-go clamshells at O'hana when right after we started on the bread pudding they brought us a pair of monster cupcakes because it was our wedding anniversary (we kept eating the bread pudding & were able to have the cupcakes the next morning for breakfast, still soft & fresh & wonderful).

The fixings bar at Pecos Bill in MK.

But - y'all are making me feel bad about all the great stuff I DIDN'T get to. I saw the cream cheese pretzels in Tomorrowland at MK but couldn't interest DD or DH in splitting one and wasn't up for a whole one all by myself. Never got any of the cookies; should have. And the closest I got to a Dole Whip was the vanilla/orange swirl ice cream at Aloha Isle (again, we were splitting it & I got outvoted about preferring pineapple). It was good, but I still want to try to Dole Whip float.

So much good food; so few meals in a day! :rotfl:

We love the make your own treats @ Goofy's Candy Company in DTD. I am not happy thagt most of these are not on DDP as snack credits anymoe!! I understand that only the marshmellow on the stick is still a snack credit, which happens to be my son's favorite. I however like the chocolate covered preztels. I think they are not allowed as snack credits anymore. Please tell me if I'm wrong. I hope i am. Also love the chocolate chip cookies @ Main St. Bakery.

Chocolate chip cookies from Ghiradelli's. They are HUGE and are more cake like than cookie, but we love them and get one every day we are at Disney. :)

We always get a turkey leg at Magic Kingdom, then add fixins inside Pecos Bills.

I also love the School Bread at Norway in Epcot.

I love the Lamb Loin and Pistachio Creme Brulee at Jiko at Animal Kingdom Lodge.

The Cheddar Cheese Soup at Le Cellier is wonderful.

The Japanese Curry Rice at Yakatori House Counter Service in Japan at Epcot is great.

The Oak Grilled Vegetable Sandwich and Chocolate Mousse Cake at Sunshine Seasons in Epcot.

I used to work at Typhoon Lagoon. The Garbage Pail has is a sand pail full of ice cream and every topping. I never tried it, but it sure was popular!

The Barbecue at Flame Tree Barbecue in Animal Kingdom is really good.

Oh, and the Earl of Sandwich in Downtown Disney has great sandwiches for a reasonable price.

And don't forget your free Ghirardelli chocolate sample in Downtown Disney. I assume they still give those out.

Dole Whips
Pizza Planet pizza
Ice cold chocolate chip muffin at the Writer's Stop in DHS
My favorite sit down item is the salmon from T-Rex-- no joke, it was amazing!

Heads up, the Dole Whips are still offered at the Poly I believe....? There are only 2 places on property to get them, MK and the Poly. And the free samples of chocolate are still down at DTD. Go back once or twice during your shopping, they don't restrict you at all!!!
Have a Magical Day!!!

I love pineapple and I tried the Dole Whip (not float) and it HOLY MOLY way too sweet! I downed an entire bottle of water after that. WOW!

I had never had fresh chocolate covered pretzels before and then went to Goofy's. Okay, those were my favorite. I went the last night we were there just to get some more to take home. :rolleyes1

The teriyaki steak at KONA was so good. As was the Molten Lava cake.

I love churros, but they were a little dry.

When we went in Dec 08 we did not have very many ressies for the highly recommended restaurants as they were all booked up! If you want Le Cellier, you have to call 180 days before your check in or your out!
