My husband and I will be in WDW in less than one month (YAY!) and only have a few ADR's. We will be staying off property with friends (so no free dining) and would like to save $$ on food.

So, where would you suggest are your FAVORITE QS locations in the parks or at the resort hotels?

:) Thanks!

:thumbsup2

I apologize....QS = quick service. Is that right? Or, should it be CS = counter service? :)

(We have only been to The World once...not sure if I'm up on all the lingo yet)

TIA!

Our all time favorite is the Yorkshire Fish Co. in the UK at Epcot. Every trip that is our first meal! Some other counter services in Epcot that we love are:
Sunshine Seasons (down by Soarin')
Tangerine Cafe (Morocco)
Sommerfest (Germany)

In MK we usually do Pecos Bills bc we love the Taco Salad and the wrap. We've been to Cosmic Rays a couple of times, that's ok.

At Studios Backlot has a bunch of new stuff and a great Greek Salad. Starring Rolls is good as well.

At AK Flame Tree BBQ had some nice healthy stuff! Never ate too much there, usually a cheese filled pretzel LOL

Epcot def has the best! Have a great trip!

I like

Columbia Harbour at MK
Flametree BBque at AK
if you go to Downtown Disney, I like Wolfgang Puck Express.

We like:
Sunshine Seasons at Epcot
Cosmic Rays at MK
Flame Tree at AK
Backlot Express at HS

Riverside Mill at POR has a great food court with a make your own pasta station that is good

MK: Pecos Bill or Columbia Harbour House
Epcot: Sunshine Seasons, Electric Umbrella (LOVE the turkey sandwich), or anything in WS
HS: Starring Rolls (if I had to choose, not a big fan of any of the CS in HS)
AK: Flametree BBQ

For my family we like..

Cosmic Ray's at the MK since they offer different stations, everyone is able to get what they want. Plus the chicken and ribs plate is awesome for my son.

Sunshine Seasons at Epcot. Again another place where people can get just what they want. They also have super desserts like the strawberry shortcake. Yum!

Flame Tree BBQ at AK has very tasty food, but I hate sitting outside with the aggressive birds. If they had some indoor seating as well, I'd be really happy! :goodvibes

We don't really visit DHS, but I have read lots of good things about Starring Rolls. If we head into that park next year, that's probably where we will be going.

As for resorts our two favorites are The Mara at the AKL and Captain Cook's at the Poly. Both are very good! And we love the resorts.

Earl of Sandwich in DTD

Last time we stayed at PO Riverside they had a create your owm pasta type dish in the food court that was great for a quick meal.

We really liked Yakity Yak in Animal Kingdom and Flame Tree. Flame Tree has patios down on the lake which overlooks Mt Everest.

Cosmic Rays in Magic Kingdom has a wide variety of foods and has an Alien lounge act as well as being right at the entrance to Tommorwland. We also liked the Columbia Harbour House accross from the Haunted Mansion. They have some different selection of foods than some of the others.

ABC Commentary has some really good desserts but the main meal is like most QS locations.

I hope that helps some. We really haven't found a bad QS place in any of the parks.

Enjoy your vacation!!

Magic Kingdom: Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe.

Epcot: Electric Umbrella.

Hollywood Studios: ABC Commissary.

Animal Kingdom: Flame Tree BBQ & Pizzafari.

Downtown Disney: Earl of Sandwich.

Contemporary: Contempo Cafe.

Grand Floridian: Gasparilla's Grill & Games.

I like

Columbia Harbour at MK
Flametree BBque at AK
if you go to Downtown Disney, I like Wolfgang Puck Express.

Here's another vote for these places, and I would also add Sunshine Seasons in Epcot to the list. (Try to go when it's not a prime meal time, though. It gets busy!)
I've been to numerous places in Hollywood Studios and haven't really had a memorable QS meal. Not bad, but just "okay". I've heard lots of good things about Starring Rolls, though, so maybe I'll give that a try next time. :)

Columbia Harbour House at MK-Must have their tuna sandwich, and their fish n chips.
We like Tangierine Cafe in Morocco in Epcot.
Flame Tree BBQ in AK is awesome.

Some of our favourites:

MK - Columbia Harbour House
AK - Yak & Yeti
DHS - Starring Rolls
Epcot - Yorkshire County Fish Shop, Sunshine Seasons
DTD - Earl of Sandwich, Wolfgang Puck Express

Thanks for all of the suggestions!

I'm sad....just found out that Flame Tree will be closed for refurb while we are there. Hopefully we will be able to find other CS locations in AK (since that is one of our favorite parks!)

I can recommend Yak & Yeti CS as something different to pizza, burgers and chicken strips :thumbsup2

At:

MK Colombia Harbor house ... Shrimp and fries

AK FlameTree BBQ.. The lime dessert is delish, found the ribs a little dry

DHS Fairfax Faire Any of the combo meals wold be shareable

Epcot Sunshine Seasons some great choices and the Desserts are mouthwateringly good !!
