What are your favorite Disney GF snacks?

My husband and I are bringing a group of friends with us to AKL in January while we are there for the marathon weekend. About half of them have never been to Disney before so I am trying to plan a great trip for them! One of my friends has Celiac disease and is excited with how allergy friendly the parks are. I was hoping other GF Disney lovers could let me know what your favorite snacks/meals are so I can make sure she enjoys herself as much as possible! Thanks in advance!

check out fairytalefoodie.com - Katie has an awesome and up-to-date blog! She doesn't have menus - but touring plans usually has the allergy-friendly menu if a restaurant has them, and those are checked frequently for accuracy. glutenfreedairyfreewdw.com does have menus, but some are pretty woefully out of date.

Snacks that are automatically ok - Dole Whip, Mickey Ice Cream Bar, popcorn.
You should be able to get GF Mickey Waffles at any place.
Satu'li is AMAZING in AK - no dessert, but the bowls are great!
I've not had them yet, but Nomad Lounge can do GF Churros and POFQ can do GF beignets.

I know it sounds really silly, but the dill pickles are great! You get a giant dill pickle packed fresh in a baggie, and it's cold and crunchy and refreshing and a little tart and salty- an ideal park snack! I know for sure that they have them at Anaheim Produce in Hollywood Studios and Liberty Square Market in Magic Kingdom.

You can also look at this site: http://allears.net/din/guestceliac.htm. It's a list of restaurants/eateries that will easily provide gluten free meals with personal accounts and experiences from other WDW guests. Hope this helps!

Almost all of the Disney restaurants accommodate gf well. We've eaten gf all over WDW and the only exception we've found is dinner at Garden Grill (breakfast is good, though). The non-Disney run restaurants in World Showcase aren't guaranteed to meet Disney's standards for allergy protection, so we haven't eaten at those.

Another consideration is the timing of gf & non-gf meals. At table service restaurants, they'll bring both types of meals out together. But at quick service locations, the regular meals will be ready almost immediately, while gf meals will have a 15-20 minute wait. So for that reason especially, we prefer table service at WDW to quick service.

Just wanted to say thank you for starting this thread! I have a hubby that’s gf and df.

I always reference this website, alexisgfadventures.com. It has a ton of information on Gluten free choices in meals and snack throughout Disney World.

Thanks for starting this thread - I see so much about the meals but I am trying to scout out some GF snack options for my best friend on our upcoming trip :)

My favorite were the Erin McKenna donuts. Found them at Cape May Buffet, there’s a store in Disney springs, and some of the bakeries had them. I think Yacht club and boardwalk had certain treats from the store.

Do you happen to remember if they were snacks on the DDP?

They were a snack on the dining plan when we went march 2017. They were served as dessert at Cape May buffet dinner, which is how we first found out about them. That what was brought out as a GF dessert.

I follow Alexis as well. She has great reviews. I've never had an issue eating gf at Disney. They do an amazing job. The churros at Nomad Lounge in AK are a must.

I don't really think most of the snacks/treats in the parks are tasty but the allergy kiosk at Animal Kingdom has delicious GF donuts. Not amazing but definitely yummy (and convenient)! I wasn't impressed with Erin McKenna's bakery at Disney Springs but maybe your friend would like it. Unfortunately there aren't many GF snacks available in the parks that aren't your generic Enjoy Life cookie, etc. :(
