What are your favorite CS desserts in the parks?

I've been reading about how desserts in the theme parks' CS restaurants are not great. Are there any good ones? I love dark chocolate. Any suggestions?

Strawberry shortcake at Sunshine Seasons in Epcot is really yummy as is the baklava in Morocco. If you get the CS meal at either France or Norway, the dessert options are all good.
We also enjoy the apple crisp at Columbia Harbour House in the MK.

We actually really enjoyed the pre-packaged chocolate cake and carrot cake that is at many of the CS restaurants.
But, the best part of Sunshine Seasons (IMO) was the amazing desserts. The food was good too, but the desserts were amazing and such a great variety.
Also, though creme brule is not my thing, my DD15 who adores it said that the creme brule at WPE was the best the whole trip.

The CS desserts we had on our last trip were - chocolate cake at CHH, key lime pie at Flame Tree, and Asian chocolate cake at Sunshine Seasons. These were sweet and dessert-like, but rather uninspired. The baklava at Tangierine Cafe was good, although the bottom was tough. The apple cobbler at CHH was great! It was actually what we call an apple dumpling around here - sweet cinnamon apples wrapped in a tender pastry crust, and warm, yum!

Get a dessert at the pastry shops in france and norway! Yum!

We really like the dessert at Flame Tree BBQ in AK, too.

If you like dark chocolate then you have to try the chocolate mousse at the French Bakery....pure heavenly bliss . I also love the key lime pies (anywhere they serve them), the horns at Norway are good however I do plan on trying School Bread in December :goodvibes

Hi. My daughter loves creme brulee also. A poster above said their child loved it at "WPE". can someone enlighten me as to what that acronym stands for? I am operating below max capacity today I guess.

Thanks!

Wolfgang Puck Express in Downtown Disney.

Although I don't recommend eating at ABC Commissary at DHS, their chocolate mousse dessert was wonderful! Unfortunately that was the only thing there that was good.

The prepackaged Triple Chocolate Cake (Camellot Desserts makes it and have found this name in our local supermarket) at Columbia Harbour House & Pinnocchio Village Haus. I loved it. Also the dirt & worms cake and big cupcakes at Contemporary were very good. I also like the big Minnies Bake Shop cookies which are sold individually. I didnt get to try anything at Epcot but heard good things about the Norway bakery and some things at Sunshine Seasons.

Although not technically a CS restaurant, there's always the DOLE WHIP FLOAT! :cloud9:

It sounds like there are some good choices after all :thumbsup2 Thanks for the ideas and keep them comin'!

I love the desserts @ the bakery in Norway and you can't miss the ones in France.
As for MK...anything @ the Main St. Bakery is delish, IMO. At DHS, you have to go to Starring Rolls. I drool whenever I walk by there.

Sunshine Seasons.... On our last full day we had an insane amount of snack credits left. We ate dinner at Sunshine Seasons that night and had a "Dessert Buffet." I think we had 4 desserts between 3 adults. We still talk about how good it was and I honestly don't remember what we ate. I know there was Strawberry Shortcake and maybe a chocolate peanut butter cake? It was a fun (and gluttonous) use of snack credits!

I like the desserts at starring roles if you are at HS.

My recomendation would be to make sure that none of your group gets the same thing and then share. That way if one of them is bad then it is not too big a deal. But be wary of the person who says the dessert is not grate and then eats the whole thing.

Also look to see if you notice a lot of people tossing thier dessets in the trash while you are waiting too order. I was at one of the QS places in AK and recall everyone tossing the strawberry shotcake dessert. I did not put 2 and 2 together untill I tasted it and it was blah. of course all 5 of us got that and all 5 of us tossed it. What a waste.

But the good news is most of the desserts are good, so don't worry too much.
