This can be past or present.
Mine would include:

Calvin and Hobbs (probably my all time favorite)
Far Side (Gary Larson has got to be demented to think like that)
Fox Trot (going to miss it)
Dilbert (I swear Scott Adams must have worked with me at some of my jobs)
Garfield (not always that funny, but sometimes it's hilarious)
Bloom County (sometimes as a kid I didn't always get it, but I do now)
(I haven't seen the newer Opus stip yet based on Bloom County)

There are many other good ones, but these are probably my favorites.

Peanuts!!!
Baby Blues
and the one with the teenager...can't think of the name...what is that one?!

Calvin and Hobbes is probably my all time favorite and Arlo & Janis is my favorite of all current strips...I swear it's like Jimmy Johnson is looking in our windows sometimes!

In no particular order:

Far Side
Calvin & Hobbes
Peanuts
Fox Trot

There are others I've enjoyed, but those are the ones of which I'd like complete collections.

Blondie and Dagwood
Happy Family
Wizard of Id
Crankshaft
BC

I don't read any now, but I used to love Brenda Starr, Opus, Calvin and Hobbes, and For Better or Worse.

Calvin & Hobbes
Baby Blues
For Better or For Worse
Garfield
Marmaduke
Beetle Bailey

Calvin and Hobbes
Peanuts
The Far Side

I don't read the comic page anymore because my three favorites are all gone now, although the old Peanuts strips continue to be re-shown.

The Far Side is my favorite. I still remember the first one I read, I spent about 20 minutes trying to figure it out before I just gave up. Now that I'm a little older (note not wiser) they come easier for me!

I also like Garfield, For Better or For Worse, and the Lockhorns.

Current:

For Better or For Worse -- absolutely the best around today, and will be very much missed if and when Lynn Johnston decides to end it.
Foxtrot (very classy farewell to the daily strip, Mr. Amend, and thank you :thumbsup2 )
Funky Winkerbean
Curtis
Zits
Sally Forth
Dilbert
Baby Blues -- Is this one now Sunday only? The Richmond paper only publishes it on Sundays, but I remember it being a 7-day strip)

All time:

Bloom County -- loved loved LOVED this strip!! Got the collection books, got several of the t-shirts (including "don't blame me, I voted for Bill and Opus" and the Billy and the Boingers concert tour), heck, I even got the Bill the Cat suction cup stuffed toy.
Peanuts
Garfield (back in it's heyday in the 1980s)
Calvin and Hobbes -- another one I loved loved LOVED!

Peanuts (absolute favorite), then in no peticular order.
For Better or For Worst
Garfield
Blondie
BC
Beetle Bailey
Family Circle

peanuts is my favorite, still enjoy it even though it's reruns. i also like for better or worse.

Peanuts (of course!)
Calvin and Hobbes
The Far Side
Bloom County (not Outland, not Opus)
Doonesbury
Pogo
Popeye
Dick Tracy
Prince Valiant

For Better or For Worse has been a favorite since Newsday started carrying it in 1979. I can remember that first Sunday strip like it was yesterday-and yes, my 7 year old would probably do the same thing as Michael did back then (jump on the footrest portion of an extended recliner, sending John airborne!

Calvin and Hobbes-Bill Watterson is a genius.

Baby Blues-I seriously can relate

The Far Side-have all the compilations (as well as Calvin)

Bloom County-Outland isn't nearly as good-I think they need the kids, too.

Zits-Jeremy is a hoot

Doonesbury-off and on for years-love Trudeau's satire, no matter who's in ofice.

You know a good strip when it's become part of the family parlance. For instance, Sally Forth once suggested creamed eggplant on raisin toast when Ted said he'd eat anything for dinner-that's our running joke. Burping? Must be a Barge Coming through, a la Calvin. Opus's Moo Moo Moo MOo-Darn, missed my cue is also a running joke with DH and I.

I'm such a comics addict, I have 3 different subscriptions to online comics so I can get my fix each day! :rotfl:

My favorites are:
Calvin and Hobbes
Peanuts
Rose is Rose
Sheldon
Heart of the City
9 Chickweed Lane
Get Fuzzy
For Better or For Worse

I can't remember the others off the top of my head...I'm sure I'll recall it tomorrow morning when I'm spending my daily 45 minutes of comics reading! :surfweb:

Peanuts (got the desk calendar for Christmas)
For Better or For Worse
Pearls before Swine
Over the Hedge
Zits
Herman
Rose is Rose
Baby Blues

Get Fuzzy (have to have the page a day calendar too)
For Better or Worse
Doonesbury
Bloom County
Rose is Rose
Dilbert
Zits
Stone Soup
Non Sequitur
Rhymes With Orange
Fox Trot (gonna miss it!)

I start my day with coffee and comics, might as well get my smile early, it might not last!
