are there any character dinners or are they all breakfasts/brunch and lunch?

Thanks!

Goofy's Kitchen has a character dinner.

Our favorite is breakfast with Minnie & Friends at the Plaza Inn. The food is typical buffet breakfast food (I do love that they have an omelet station as I eat low carb so it's perfect for me). The character interaction is the best! We typically see between 9-12 characters! It is nice that they come to your table too and multiple times if you are there when it's not too busy!

We are doing it in June on my nieces 10th birthday and we can't wait!

Minnie's breakfast is great. A lot of characters and decent options for breakfast plus you're already in the park!

You can skip Surf's up, only about 5 characters and the food was nothing special.

We like Minnies. The food is average. If you are going for the food, this might not be the best choice. Don't get me wrong, the food is not bad in anyway. Its just nothing fancy, and not the largest variety. However, if you are going for characters, this one is GREAT! I think it has the largest variety and best interaction.

We also like that it does not take extra time away from the park getting to and from the location. We usually schedule for about 10:30 or so. We eat a light breakfast at the hotel, hit the park early and play for those first few hours when the lines are short. Around 10:30 when things are starting to get busy, and we are getting hungry we head to breakfast. We typically only eat two meals a day, and some snacks. It works for us.

9-12?? WOW!!!

we are used to having 5 at WDW, so 9-12 sounds great!

Chip, Dale, Hook, Winnie the Pooh, Tiger, Minnie, Rafiki and Max were all there so 8! I think since it's in the park and the characters are usually out there near the entrance in the mornings they stop by the Plaza Inn.

Also Chip and Dale were hilarious when they'd come across each other - making stinky gestures at the other one, wiping their nose on each other etc:laughing:

I've not done Minnie's Plaza breakfast, so I can't speak to that. As said before, Goofy's Kitchen is the only place where it's a character dinner. I wish they had more like they do at WDW. Goofy's and Ariel's do a lunch. All the others are breakfast, which is a meal I'm not real happy to spend a bunch of money on.

However, if you do a breakfast, Mickey's Surf's Up is the only character meal with Mickey Mouse. I saw a bad review above, but the food here is nearly the same as the other character breakfasts. We actually enjoyed the food. Plus you get Mickey and even Daisy and Stitch.

We usually prefer to do lunch also, because that helps us rest for a bit before going out into the madness again.

Its good to know where to find Mickey too!

Thanks!

Sounds super entertaining!

Must definitely plan a meal there!!

Goofy's is only character dinner. Storytellers and PCH Grill both do dinner but no characters.

That's what we're planning to do!

We love Goofy's kitchen. The food has the best selection and the characters are fun, even if it's just 5 of them. I feel we get our money's worth there.

We plan on surprising our boys with breakfast at Minnie's when we go in November. It is the only one (besides Ariel's) we haven't done yet and DS9 really wants to go. I have heard that once seated it's all self service, even the drinks. Is that true? How does tipping work then?

I love Minnie'so due to the number of characters, but my daughter prefers Aerial's. She is 18 now and this is still her only request for this week's trip; once a princess always a princess.

I can't remember at all tipping. Are you supposed to? Maybe they had a line on the credit card? I thought it was so expensive a tip would be cray cray on top.
