With only one day and arriving late, I‘d suggest outlining your top priorities, whether that be rides, food, experiences. This will not only help set expectations but also with priority G+ bookings.
I did a late arrival (noonish) yesterday with my 2 youngest, and had them outline their top 2 things (each). One chose Mickey&Minnie Runaway Railway and Space Mountain, the other identified Space Mountain and Smugglers Run (so essentially we had a top 3, this helped me prioritize our G+.) We were only stying until at most 5pm so this way I knew I should book Space Mountain as soon as we entered the park, as it tends to book out late. I did this, and then used the modify feature to move it earlier. . Do read up on how to modify a LL if you don’t already - complete game changer.
Single rider lines with teens are fantastic! They will allow you to ride those headliner rides with shorter waits and not burning up a G+ when you could be using it for other things. Single rider lines at DL are: Space, Matterhorn, Splash (if still open), Smugglers Run (will allow pairs to go through, so great option for your teens) and at DCA Radiator Springs Racers, Incredicoaster (this can get loooong midday so suggest booking a G+ at night for this, its infinitely better at night), Toy Story (personally I’d skip this as its identical to WDW), Webslingers.
For G+ I would therefore prioritize the non single rider lines when you arrive. So Guardians and Soarin at DCA, Big Thunder and Indiana at DL.
As much as it will pain you to skip the FL rides, with only one day and a late arrival its likely necessary. You could send the teens off just before close on their own and ride them with your friend late at night - not that I have *ever* done that with my teen.

Many rides are dupes of WDW, but some really should be experienced at DL. Pirates, Big Thunder and Space in particular. Soarin if it is the California version.
Have a FANTASTIC DAY!!!!
EDIT: removed unnecessary details from our day yesterday. Still riding the DL high today.
