What are youir opinions on The Wave? I'm trying to make my last minute ADR decisions b/c my 180 days mark is on Monday and was thinking about dinner at The Wave. Also is it located at BLT or CR?

I really enjoyed The Wave. Had cocktails in the lounge and then joined my adult family of four, plus one pre-teen for dinner there in September 2008. We made the reservation for dinner the morning of with the help of guest relations.

Our server, Dave, was attentive to our table and knowledgable about the menu. He joked with our family, took our photo at the end of our meal, and he even joined the family for a photo!

The food was delicious and satisfying. Although I don't recall all of the meals selected, I ordered an entree with red snapper over Israeli couscous and vegetables. My dad and I shared a dessert tray of three mini items, which ended the meal nicely. I apologize that I can't be more specific.

It was a great meal, and I'd happily make an ADR there for my next trip!

Loved this restaurant..went over xmas week 09 at the last minute and it was a great meal, great service .....I especially enjoyed the no sugar added dessert trio(con't do sugar) of crem burlee, mint choc mousee and mixed berries. DH like mine better than his regular. It is a very kool looking restaurant. I would go back again(this xmas trip!). We may do lunch there if we park hop from MK one day or dinner and return to MK for evening emh.

I loved the wave but my husband doesn't want to go back. I guess it depends on what you order. I had the pasta with clams & tomato sauce with the 3 sorbets for dessert. LOVED the lemon basil. My husband had the chicken pot pie and I don't blame him for not wanting to go back after seeing his dinner.

I thought it was "fair" but not a restaurant we ever must go back to.

We did go for breakfast, and haven't tried them for lunch or dinner. Overall our impression of the restaurant was just "okay" though. As I've never tried the lunch or dinner though, I don't know how popular they are, but we found our ADR that we had for breakfast when we went in December to be unneeded, we could have walked up and been seated without issue.

We went to The Wave last year and loved it. I tried to get back in on my second trip in December and it was booked. The whole wheat bread they served was really really good. It was salted and really yummy. I would definitely recommend this one. :cool1:

We went there on our trip this past November. Very nice restaurant and excellent service. I thought our meals were good but I did not enjoy their selections of desserts. We were on the DDP but if we were paying out of pocket, I probably would prefer other restaurants over The Wave.

We were there last August and I admit we were a bit underwelmed. Our entrees were good but I wasn't thrilled with the desserts. Also, our service was slow and a bit indifferent.

Overall, nothing really wrong with the meal but I doubt we will return.

We went at the end of October 2009, no one in our party of 8 was impressed. None of the 6 adults liked their meal at all and everyone has varied tastes. I thought my meal was okay, no one else would even rate their meal that highly. We were highly disappointed with this meal and will not be going back.

We have eaten at the Wave twice. The first time was absolutely fantastic, the second time was good but not as great as the first time.

I had the beef tenderloin both times. Our service was great on both trips as well.

My parents just ate there for lunch last week and really enjoyed it as a quiet respite from the crowded parks!

We really enjoy the Wave. It is one of the better deals for a 1 TS spot, and the food was great! We will be there again in August.

Thanks so much! It sounds good based on most of these reviews! Looks like we'll be going there. :)

I sugguested we stop in for lunch before heading to the MK, this past NYE trip. I'm not a big fan of the eating establishments in the MK, I didn't want to fight the crowds for CS & we were staying at BLT, couldn't be more convenient. However, my family read the lunch menu at the Wave & they were not sold at all. It didn't have the usual burgers, chicken fingers or pizza they are used to seeing & my family can be very picky. I talked them into it, saying I had read some good reviews on the DIS so they went begrudgingly. DH ordered the reuben (no saurkraut or thousand island dressing so really a pastrami sandwich :confused3), DD order the grilled chicken sandwich (no mayo or tomato ), DS the chicken tacos (no sour cream :sad2:) & I ordered the crab cakes. It was very quiet in there, with very few patrons, the food ended up being excellent, the drinks equally delish & we had a fantastic waitress, very engaging & fun. Everyone agreed that Mom was right as usual! ;)

Ate at the Wave in 2009..loved it. Had the tuna and it was the first time I had tuna that didn't come from a can.:lmao: It was excellent.

I love the Wave - have had breakfast and dinner there. Both were excellent . . .only thing I didn't like was dessert, but that could be because I was absolutely stuffed by that point. The black bean soup appetizer is out of this world.
