Just wondering.
Are you rich or something? Your always wearing something really..fancyish.

That question is pretty rude...
But why does dressing well make you think I'm rich?
Is it not possible to be impecunious and wear nice clothes?

I hate to sound rude Ally but the clothes you wear are usually quite expensive and I know I couldn't afford to wear them.
I do love all your clothes though and I don't think people should be judged on what they wear or how much money they have anyway.

I didn't really think it sounded rude. Genuine question. And yes, it is possible to dress nicely but not spend a lot of money. However, the clothes that you wear are rather expensive. I hope I didn't rude or anything...

grey cotton short shorts( I sleep in them)
Florida Panthers Huge Jersey

Fuzzy grey socks

It actually looks like I am just wearing the Jersey and the socks.

I love those shoes, and that dress is awesome.

tie dye shirt

I understand that.
But I really hate how everyone just assumes that if you wear those clothes, everyone judges you like that. It's just so annoying...

And I think asking people how much money they have is a completely rude question... that's nobody elses business.

I agree that it isnt anyone else's business, but it wasnt like she was asking how much income your family has each year. If somebody asked me that, I wouldnt be offended, it's a simply yes/no/kinda question.

What's the big deal if they look expensive? For all you guys know, she got them on sale at Goodwill. Heck, I save up my money & I could afford to shop at big-name stores like Buckle, Hollister, ect. but, I'd rather wear a pair of mesh shorts & a $3 Volcolm t-shirt I got on sale at Pac Sun. And because I wear non-expensive clothing, does that mean I'm poor? Nope.

Lesson learned. Don't judge a book by it's cover.

Pink tee with monkeys on it
Pink shorts with blue stars on them.
Red dressing gown.

Yep i'm that cool.
xD

Just because you have non expensive clothing doesnt make you poor. However, if you wear expensive stuff, the money has to come from somewhere. Like the bracelets that she has the say "We'll always have Paris" are $130. That dress that she's wearing on the top of this page was $108. I could put together a whole outfit for that much.

My point is, how do you know that stuff is expensive? Look at my t-shirt, you'd think it was $15 based soley that it's a Volcolm shirt. You're seeing what you think is a nice clothing & assuming it's expensive & assuming she's lying because you don't think she's got enough money for clothes like that.

And my t-shirt is going for $20 on Zumiez right now. You can get expensive stuff for less, depending on where you get it. Because one store has it priced in the $100 range doesn't mean another store doesn't.

I'm leaving this debate. I was just defending Haz because of her "rude remark." Although I don't ever remember saying that she was lying.

It's not a knock on you, it's a general problem with everyone. Too much assuming & it creates bad things.

Excuse me? The only thing I have posted on this topic is the post that Ally quoted and I don't believe she was referring to me as rude.

:goodvibes It's alright, just didn't want my name dragged through the mud ;) xD

Haha I don't blame you. I know mine is right now. Although most people on here don't like me anyway, so it doesn't really matter.

I like you! And I can see both sides of the argument and they both have valid points.
