What are you especially thankful for this year?

I'm even more thankful for my sisters and the fact that we have gotten so close over the last year.

I'm also thankful that the doctor realized that there was something more going on that required me to have surgery quickly. Afterwards I found out just how bad off I really was.

I'm very thankful for the great care my sisters gave me after my surgery.

I'm thankful for the wonderful friends I have made over the past year.

I'm sure there are many more I can think of but this is the main stuff I can think of at the moment.

I am thankful I am still here! I was diagnosed with a very rare type of cancer in 1999. At the time my prognosis was 3-5 years. It's been six and I am pretty healthy! :cheer2: It must be the Disney magic!

Wow! That really is something to be thankful for! Congratulations.

i am thankful for many things this year. but most of all i am thankful for the technology that just might save my ex's life. he has been very sick and was given just two years to live earlier this year. he has been undergoing an experimental procedure and he says that it is working. i pray daily that it does. i love him and cannot imagine my life without him in it. so this year i am thankful for technology.

Im extremely thankful that our friend steve got to come home from Iraq last week in time for thanksgiving...im thankful that i got to be there when he got off the plane..

I am thankful for my family and friends. I am thankful to have a roof over my head, food to feed my family and a job. I am thankful that when my father was diagnosed with terminal cancer that he didn't suffer longer than the 5 weeks that he did. I am thankful for reuniting with my brother for whom I hadn't spoken to in many years. I am thankful for my wonderful husband and son. I am Blessed.

I'm thankful for a loving God and His Son, Jesus.
I'm thankful for my DS, whom we adopted at birth
and will turn 3 soon - he is a blessing I never dreamed of.
I'm thankful for my family and my friends.
I'm thankful for my DH, as my DSis just lost her DH to cancer on Monday,
and she is now raising her little guy, also 3 years, alone.
I'm thankful for our (relatively) good health.
I'm thankful for our military, and for their families who sacrifice so much.

The thing I am most thankful for is my family...immediate and extended. About a month and a half ago, my cousin passed away very unexpectedly. We have a very large extended family (well over 50 people) and that was the first death since Grandma, who had been ill, was in her 80's, and was expected. We all realized how extremely fortunate we've been for so many years, and for that I am extremely grateful. We have a very close family, so I am mostly thankful for that this year.

I'm thankful that my family is together and safe
I'm thankful for all the kindness showed to us by everyone after Hurricane Katrina.
I'm thankful to have a warm comfortable home.
I'm thankful that because we're moving, we're able to bless someone else with this warm comfortable home.
I'm thankful that the Air Force is taking such good care of our family and all the Air Force families affected by the Hurricane.

I'm thankful for my family. We had 35 family members gather for dinner yesterday. It's was wonderful. Babies being passed around from one set of loving arms to another, little ones chasing each other around the house, teens catching up with each other, the rest of us watching and admiring the love that we all have for each other. I'm thankful that my uncle who is battling cancer had a good day yesterday. He said grace, held babies (one of his favorite things to do), ate a good meal and just felt good. We are a blessed family.

I'm thankful that I've spent the past 3 yrs. w/the most darling man that I now call my fiance. I'm also thankful for my pet birdie, Spike, that's been w/me for about a yr. & 1/2 now, who was adopted from a pet store. And of course, for my family & friends. :)
