There is so much going on in the world today and it can be really overwhelming!!

Sometimes it helps to list the things we have to be thakful for. :)

I am thankful for

My Faith
My family
the fact that everyone is ( relatively) healthy in my family
For everyone in the Military working so very hard to protect us
my home
that I can feel love and appreciation for the gifts I have been given
For all of you here on the Dis that are so loving, caring, and supportive :)

.......

What are you Thankful for today?

I am thankful for life and all the treasures that I have in my life.....family, friends, nature.

I'm thankful for my faith, my DH, my children, my job, my parents, friends, and all the opportunities I have to spend time with my family, the DIS and all the neat people here, my list could go on and on!!!:D

Believe it or not, I am thankful it's snowing here. As much as I hate winter, we really need the moisture.

I am thankful for a smooth operating furnace...we are going to have a -20 wind chill in NJ.

I am thankful for your positive attitude, binny! :) Your "fluff" posts sure add some happiness and joy to my day.

I am thankful for my family. My husband is the best husband in the world, my sister is my best best best friend, my parents are healthy and fun to be with, and I am getting to know my brother again after not really seeing him much for the last 20 years. He's a pretty nice guy! :)

I'm thankful that my mother is on medication for her depression. She seems much happier and is laughing and joking and starting to enjoy life. I'm thankful that the pharmacutical companies have worked hard and created medicine for people who suffer from depression and anxiety.

I am thankful for my health, my optimistic attitude, the lovely Florida weather, a beautiful and loving dog, two silly little cats, all the wonderful wildlife in our area, living in a quiet neighborhood, meeting friendly people, having relatives in England to visit and share good times with, a wonderful new friend who JUST LOVES beer! :)

So much to be thankful for! I have a wonderful life and I plan to enjoy every minute of it!!!

Thanks for starting this thread! :)

I Am always thankful for my family and friends :D

My parents
My DH
My kitties
And my new car. :) (Okay, old car, but new to me)

And, that I have a job that is flexible enough that I could get my car today and come in late, just working the hours later tonight (it'll just be a long night)

I was going to say for you starting this thread and making me stop and be thankful...but I think TigH just beat me to it!;) Other than that, I am really thankful that my family understands me, accepts my neurotic shortcomings and loves me anyway!
I am also thankful for the support that comes from these boards...you all have me thru some REALLY stressful stuff over the past 2 years...and I am thankful that I am married to a strong person who can deal with just about anything that gets thrown at him. He really is my rock, and a great role model for the kids.
Speaking of which, I am grateful for them...they improove me every day!

Im thankful for today that I was able to work 7hrs and make a normal days pay. (Tomorrow I work 6hrs - just lost an hr on Thursdays)

HEAT! Boy is it cold outside!

And TigH, I really enjoyed reading your post!

My kids
My parents
The Opportunity to Go to College
Roger (and everything he has done lately)
Waking Up in the Morning
Sunshine (even when it's cold outside)
The fact that I've regained some of my confidence in myself

I have so much to be thankful for, thank you binny for giving us all a chance to say so!

I am soooo grateful for my family, especially for my sweet Daddy whose attitude and peace of mind has gotten us through some very hard times...

And for the mature, grown man with the sweetest smile and kindest heart, my son...

I am grateful for my sister, who has morphed into my Mom... she has jumped in and become my Mom, and I feel soo loved!

I am grateful for my aunt, who retired from her job to come down and take care of my elderly Dad, my challenged uncle and her abandoned great grandson. What a lady!

I am thankful for my kitties, who look at me like I hung the moon no matter HOW ugly I am!

I am grateful to have a job with liberal internet policies... :earseek:

I am grateful for my close relationship with God, His son and the Holy Ghost

And I am grateful for the DIS, and for Pete Werner, who took the time and the money to make sure that we all are here!
:teeth:

The ability to go and study my Bible no matter where/when and not get arrested or shot... ( My Egyptian friends told me an earful of what happened in Egypt)

My husband who loves me unconditionally

My children.

My friendships that I have forged very quickly here in NJ

Family, and that my father has the heart and eagerness to go anywhere, do anything for the Air Force.

Grateful that I am a American citizen and the freedom/abilities that go with that.

Grateful to be literate. Have any of you ever seen the illiteracy rate? That COULD have been me.. or any of us.

I'm so thankful for my wonderful parents who raised me so well, even when I made it difficult. I am thankful for my fiance who tries so hard to put me and my needs before his own. I am thankful for all my material blessings, especially having enough discretionary income to go to WDW at least once a year. I am thankful most of all for my Savior Jesus who traded his life for mine and gave me eternal life in heaven.

My health, my family and my good fortune in general. I have a lot to be thankful for!!

my family
our health
that dh and i have jobs

A wonderful man that adores me
Freedom (of so many things)
A healthy family
Grandma
My job
A decent house and reliable car
The time to play when we need to

Too many countless joys to list here... :)

my friend Karen is in the final stages of chemo for Breast Cancer. There was concern that it had spread to her liver. We held our breath for 5 days and we finally got the results.

IT HAD NOT SPREAD! Levels were caused by the Chemo. She's having her regular treatment today after a months delay.

Thankful you bet!
