For once I have 2 books I'm reading. One is Dark Tort by Diane Mott Davidson. The other is Getting Old is Murder by Rita Lakin.

I like Diane Mott Davidson's mysteries. Although I think I like Joanna Fluke's better. Anything that combines mystery with food is a good thing!

I finished ONE FOR THE MONEY by Janet Evanovich and now I'm reading TWO FOR THE DOUGH. I just LOVE Morelli!! And Grandma is HILARIOUS!! :rotfl2::lmao:

That is what am reading too....I brought both this one and Three to get Deadly but our time in Florida has been so busy I am still on number 2....LOL

I agree, Grandma is hilarious.:rotfl:

For the True Blood/Sookie series, what books have the tv show covered so far? I want to read them, but don't want to get ahead of what I've seen on the show.

I just finished American Wife by Curtis Sittenfield, and I've just started The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. American Wife was one of the best books I've read in awhile, and makes me want to read actual biographies of Laura Bush.

They're mixing it up a little, so there are parts of books 2 and 3 that have been in the show. Who knows what they'll do next season.

The books and show are very different, though. I don't think you'd be spoiled by reading ahead. I'll be extremely impressed if you can stop reading after #2 ;).

I just finished reading "Left to Tell" by Imaculee Ilibagiza. What an AMAZING book! I give it 5 stars!!! I thought it would be horribly depressing, and awful, but it was so uplifting, and wonderful! I totally recommend this book to anyone!!!

Not sure what's next on my list. I need to get to the library, but that won't happen until tomorrow. I'm leaving for New York on Sunday, so I'll pick up some reading material tomorrow.

I'm reading, "Glory in Death", by J.D. Robb. Super good. I'm enjoying this series. I'm also getting ready to start, "Skinny Chicks Don't Eat Salad". The title was just too good to pass up!

I started The Girl With The Dragon Tatoo this week. So far, I'm really enjoying it. I just wish I had more time to devote to it.

I am reading The Maze Runner. So far so good.

Rereading "Dear John" by Nicholas Sparks. The movie comes out early next year and after seeing a trailer for it I wanted to reread the book.

Right now I am reading Under the Dome, by Stephen King. It is so heavy that I actually had to switch the backpack I was wearing to one with more strap support because I was coming home with a sore back from hauling it around!

LOL - I'm glad I'm doing the audiobook!! But, it's very hard to follow in that format. Stephen King does such excellent character development - I'd forgotten that I like read his books so that I can go back and re-read about people when I get confused.

It's also a "heavy" book in other ways. So far, it's very dark. I'm only about 1/4th of the way through it but I find myself not in the best mood after I've been listening for awhile.

I'm anxious to see where he's going with the story...

I am reading this one too. You can tell that Mr. King needs someone to tell him that editing is a good idea! Not that it will stop me from reading anything published by the man!

I'm just about done with one of my dd's books~the summer I turned pretty. Its a pre-teen book. Just wanted to see what shes reading.(Actually we are having a contest in my family so see who has read the most books in 2009~pages and books so I needed a quick read cause she's not too far behind me-hey $100 gift card is on the line and I want it!!! shhh don't tell her!!!lol)

What am I reading? Not one single thing! I've got 5 books to choose from and haven't picked up one of them. I finished TWO FOR THE DOUGH yesterday, but then MY story started coming to me...finally! Been in my head in pieces for 3 months and the beginning finally made it's appearance yesterday! :cool1: I'm really excited about it and can't wait to get it typed and on the website where my other shorts are. I will start reading one of my books later this evening and probably start a second tomorrow. It's our holy day I do a lot of reading on that day because we don't watch tv, play on computers, or anything of that kind. I can usually read 2 books depending on their length.

I started FULL BLAST on Friday and finished it on Saturday. Now I'm reading FULL BLOOM. Both books by Janet Evanovich and Charlotte Hughes. They are SUPER! :thumbsup2

Just finished Hunger Games and Catching Fire:thumbsup2
I am trying to get back into Sookie- finishing up Dead as a Doornail.
I've got Under the Dome on the Xmas list.
Anyone read the new Crichton yet? Something pirate-y. He's kind of hit or miss.
