I need some "unique" ideas for Easter baskets for kids who have everything:rolleyes:

What are you putting in your kids baskets? :)

We do themed baskets.

This year youngest DS is getting Disney/Pixar stuff: An LED alien game, TAG books, a LEGO watch with Buzz Lightyear.

DD is going American Girl (but of course!) and I have two of the fashion studios, a joke book, and a Sugar puppy. She also wants a zhu zhu puppy  and has been asking for it for awhile. I'm trying to decide whether to hold the AG dog for a friend's birthday and give her the Zhu Zhu or just give her both. I'll wait and see what her basket looks like compared to the others.

Oldest DS is going XBOX/technology. He wants a texter so that will go in there and I'm putting some Microsoft points and an iTunes card in as well.

They'll all have eggs with mighty beanz and crazy bones in them as well as a chocolate bunny :)

They each get a Willy Wonka scrambled egg, and dd8 is getting a ATM bank machine thingie she wanted for Christmas...it was too expensive then, but I picked it up after Christmas at 75% off.:thumbsup2

Haven't figured dd12 out yet....maybe a CD??

They do the big egg hunt for candy etc at my Mom and Dad's with their cousins...

My kids (dd11 and ds9) have 'everything', and I don't do tons of candy (a little, but nothing crazy like when we were kids - because the kids get candy more regularly today). The only time we got candy as kids was Easter and Halloween, so it was special.

Anyway, when they were younger, besides the candy they got (again, not much) they'd get a big stuffed bunny, and easter themed toys/crafts/etc.

The past couple of years, I've given them the little candy, Itunes giftcards, and this year they'll also get Xbox live point gift cards. That's about it.

I don't do much at Easter. They get candy. We don't have candy at home during the year usually, so it's a treat. I may give them each an iTunes card, but whatever goes into the basket will be under $20 each.

We don't do a lot of toys, etc. for Easter, and don't make it a big expense. The baskets will have candy and a few jewelry items I got on clearance, maybe a couple of pairs of cute socks if I find them cheap.

Some candy (which will sit around until next easter when we toss it and get new candy to sit around LOL)-she still has halloween candy too! Probably a Wii game, DS games, itunes gift card...don't know what else haven't really thought much about it yet.

The kids usually just get candy in their baskets.

Easter is a holy day at our house so we don't do the whole "easter bunny" thing. I usually put some candy eggs, jelly beans,a pkg of flower seeds, and perhaps a small stuffed toy in a bowl for each kid. We do dye eggs, well, because it's just fun. Besides, what would Easter dinner be without the multicolored devilled eggs? But we have never done the big baskets or sitting on the Bunny's lap and asking for Easter presents. Really? My kids were petrified to be near that 6ft tall bunny-man--i have to admit, I find the mall Bunny more than a little bit creepy

I limit it to candy and an Easter related (non-secular) item as well as a stuffed toy. I don't use it as a "gift giving" opportunity. It too is a Holy day for us, so I keep it very simple. I always fail at making Christmas simple, but I have kept the tradition of keeping the baskets simple their entire lives.

However, Walmart has lots of Hop themed items--I'm very very very tempted to get some of those for the basket.

We don't do big gifts for Easter. I never really got that. Our baskets have jelly beans, chocolates, a chocolate bunny and always 1 or 2 books or a book and a movie....oh and eggs of course.:goodvibes

Large hollow rabbit
Specialty brownies
Favorite candies
Present(s)

my 2 year old is getting a few thomas and friends engines, a few easter eggs and i'm making him a thomas the tank engine pillow case for our trip to baltimore this summer.

i'm sure i'll find other little things for him. it's so much fun finding little things for him!

I just buy the cheap premade easter baskets for my kids. They will not be home for Easter any how. We a huge family cookout at the park.

DS (11) is getting a glow in the dark basketball - so cool

DD (13) hmmmmm - nothing has rocked my world for her - but it will come.

Easter is always fairly low key here. We put together baskets with their favorite candy which is different for each on of our 3 daughters. One only likes plain chocolate and M&M's, one is vegetarian so no Peeps for her (amont other things), and the youngest would eat every and all candy you give her. The oldest gets a gift card of some sort, usually small, and the younger 2 get some sidewalk chalk, bubbles, etc. Little toys to enjoy outside in the beginning of Spring.

The real fun here is the Easter egg hunt. We will hide the eggs after they go to sleep. And once they find them, we will hide them again and again throughout the day. Or they will hide them on each other. They have a blast and I love to see them laughing and giggling with each other.

DD12 will be getting braces and a herbts so doubt she'll want candy or be able to eat it. She's not a big candy eater but does like sour candy and hot chips but we'll see how she does with the dental herbts in her mouth.

My plan for this year is especially now that she's getting older....
-pk of black socks
-pk of no show white socks
-hair clips
-$5 giftcard to jamba juice and 7-11 since her mouth will be sore from braces adjustment gc will be good for smoothies and Icee's

not sure what else

1 large Russel Stover solid bunny, chocolate marshmallow eggs, jelly beans, gumballs, 1 toy, one sports-type item and 1 golden egg with money in it. Then there's the trail on plastic, candy-filled eggs that lead from the kid's bedroom to the basket on the kitchen table.
