What has happened since starting you weight loss that you are proud of? What has been a positive outcome?

Loosing 3 inches around my tummy in the last two months...being able to run up the 3 flights of stair from the school gym to my classroom without feeling like I was going to die :) Being able to say no to junk food :)

(I'm proud of you for starting this wonderful thread!) ;)

I'm proud of sticking to my WW plan and enjoying it. I'm proud of sticking to my wonderful exercise routine. I'm proud of myself for making time to be good to myself. I'm proud that my clothes fit better and I feel so much more energetic! :) I am really proud that the sexy skirt and shirt that I bought to wear in New Orleans last year (but didn't at the time because I felt too fat and dumpy) now fits and I FEEL GOOD about the way I look in that outfit. DH suggested I wear this outfit for our anniversary - we're going to go to Citywalk to have dinner and then go do some salsa and merengue dancing. WOO HOO! So I'm proud that I'll have the courage to go out in public in clothes that are not what I'd normally wear! ;)

Great post glo :)

I'm proud that I've been able to stay on Atkins for 2 weeks without straying once. I know it not always an accurate reflection but, I'm proud that I'm keeping my Ketostix in the high range. I'm proud that THIS time, I am determined to get the weigh off and keep it off and I owe a lot of that to all of you! :) I'm also proud of each and every one of you, you are my inspiration.

But, right now, I am VERY proud of myself for getting up early this morning and putting together 4 Easter Baskets, full of chocolate and not being tempted to sneak one (OK, there may have been a split second but I made it through). :) :) :)

Edited to add someone very important:
I am proud of my PM Buddy, John In Illinois :) Without his support and encouragement, I never would have made it this far!! ((hugs)) John! :)

I'm proud of the fact that when I work out with my trainer she tells me I can lift more weight with my upper body than any other woman she trains.....even if these workouts are slowing down my weight loss!

Very nice post, glo!

I am proud of the fact that I have been on Atkins for a week and a half and I am sticking to what I should eat! :)

I am also proud of the fact that I have only drank water in that week and a half, which is extremely hard for me! I don't even have the desire to drink anything else! :):)

I am proud that all last week, I had to bake cookies, brownies and fudge and didn't try even a small piece of any of them...I also had to put together 25 little bags of candy for Andrew's class and had no desire to eat even one Skittle! :):)

I am very proud of alot of things! I am proud that I have wonderful friends on the WISH board to guide me through the Atkins plan! :)

I am proud that I have very good friends like Kath, Marsha, glo and Karebear that are the best support group in the world!! :):)

Yes, I have alot of things to be proud of today! :):)

Things I'm proud of:

*MYSELF! I've never been quite as committed to anything as I am to losing weight. It's a true accomplishment.

*Being able to sit in an airplane without a belt extender.

*Being able to shop at places that most people can shop. Stores in the mall, as well as discount stores like Marshall's.

*I'm a singer, and so standing up in front of people was terrifying. Not because I doubted my voice, but rather my look. I can now be who I really am in front of people, and I'm very proud of that.

*being able to go to a restaurant and find the healthy choices. I NEVER did that before!

*all of you!!! I'm very blessed in this weight loss journey. I can slack a little now and then and it doesn't have a huge impact on me. All of you are FAR more dedicated than I am, and you're all very inspiring!!!!

1. Proud (like you) to have abstained from junk food and eating snacks after 6pm.

2. Proud I've been walking 5x a week and making it to the gym as bonus.

3. Proud I'm sticking to my goals and not letting my cravings affect my attitude- used to get really witchy when I couldn't have that second piece of pizza on family movie night and everyone else was wolfing it down- I'm actually happy that I only want one piece along with my side salad!

4. Proud I've made my weekly trips for fresh veggies and not let convenience foods rule my diet.

5. Proud I'm wearing shorts and short sleeve shirts and not feeling self conscious about the flabby knees and arms!

Lastly, proud to be a part of this great group that I have been so encouraged by- especially you GLO!!

I'm proud of my self for STAYING commited to my new way of eating. I have never wanted anything so bad and actually made it happen like it has this time. Usually after two months i can it and go back to my old habits. I'm determined to make this change and watching it unfold has been a beautiful thing find me. So far it's been a wonderful Jounrney. I'm proud my kids and husband are proud for me and really like the new me. (My dd 10 thinks i've gone totally hip buying COOL clothes>LOL) I'm proud that i have found a group of friends to share my ups and downs of this journey with it's a wonderful thing.

Making two road trips and never deviating from my eating plan even once. I spent 3 days in the French Quarter, for heaven's sake, and I had no desire to eat any off plan foods. Well, just one temptation (shrimp etoufee) but as soon as I ate my legal meal it went away :p

Finding WISH and taking the WISH challenge and not dropping out.

I'm proud that I started this healthy way of eating on 1/9/03 and I haven't had a piece of bread, white flour, rice, potatoes, sugar or any caloric sweetener since. (Okay that's probably cheating...I don't even want any of those things).

I hope that the next time you ask this question, glo, that I can be proud of working out everyday even when I'm away from home. Now that would be something to really be proud of, I think ;)

Kelsie, I am SO very proud of your sticking with this plan this time. You have been so good at staying the course, and you make me smile every time you share a success story of yours with me!!! :D

As for what I am proud of pertaining to myself............

I guess it would be that finally I have adopted a way of life that seems to be leading me to vastly improved health, and a chance to improve a poor self-image that has plagued me forever.

The whole thing started out by being challenged to lose a few pounds to look better, and the person who challenged me to that means more to me than I ever could express........and their importance to me has only INCREASED since they made me see that I CAN take control of my health.

((( HUGS ))) Kelsie :)

I am so glad we have PM buddies on the WISH Board...because I think my PM buddy, Karebear1, is the WORLD'S BESTEST PM BUDDY! :):):) LOL

- staying with my workout routine (and then some on occasion)

- cutting back on my "glass of wine" in the evening, just because it's there and I could have it.

- wearing a dress that was too tight last spring

- modeling good behaviors for my family

- staying within my pt range (well 98% so far ;))

- how hard my Mom is working on this too ;)

- starting to jog again

- passing on the candy and sweet stuff and when I really just can't then counting the pts and adjusting and not giving up

- my new lifestyle

well, i think I could just go on and on, but instead on out the door for a bike ride:smooth:
