I am a Nanny too!!
I bought them (the parents) a $40 gift card for a billiard place since they like to shoot pool and a free night of babysitting. I also bought them a box of Ghiradelli chocolates since that's the Mom's favorite chocolates.

They bought me 2 tickets to see Mama Mia in Boston this past Wednesday plus gave me $100. They treat me very well!!

Last year I bought them movies passes and a night of free babysitting. I spent a little more on them this year since I've been with them over a year now.

Since my boss is always bumming mine I'm giving him a big bottle of ibuprofen, box of granola bars, several bags of candy and a book of stamps.

I LOVE my boss's kids so I'm getting them gifts... which is what makes her happy!

I'm giving her cookies, she loves the ones I make.

I am also a boss, and have been FLOODED with gifts! Most for my son who is the "mascot" of the office, I work with amazing people!

It is against Federal Law for me to give my boss anything. We got a big code of ethics law email and it forbids all of us to give our boss any gifts.

Yea ours is like that to----but we all chipped in and bought him a new bowling ball anyway.

I wish we had a rule against boss gifts! There are 3 of us "peons" who chip in to buy for our 2 bosses. We've done wine, coffee gift cards, a nice platter with homemade cookies.

Our nanny usually gives my husband and I something homemade like cookies (YUM!!!) and something small that she knows we need but I've forgotten to get or can't find. One year she knew I needed dish towels but couldn't find any that I liked so she found a couple of adorable sets and gave them to us. Another time she picked up placemats that I liked when we were all on holiday together. Usually they are just really thoughtful things that aren't expensive but have a lot of heart and thought behind them which is very sweet. We always feel so lucky that she put so much care into selecting our gift!

Lol...Wine is OUT for me - I work for a wine distributor so he could go out to the warehouse and grab a bottle whenever he wants!

Last year one of the other girls and I chipped in got him a nice leather letter tray for his home office. This year we are taking all of his postcards from his vacations and putting them in a shadow box for him. It's simple, but we think he will like it. He loves his vacations
