Hi! We're scheduled to go to DW Dec 2-10, and I'm gonna use good ol priceline. I'm just curious to know what everyone else is getting when they go through priceline. How much are you bidding? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

well I bid $35 and tried to get the All Stars - didn't - it wasn't being offered then - and got AmeriSuites - not bad.

I see that the Best Western LBV is coming up alot lately for 3* and the dreaded Worldgate (yuck!) the usual Hilton for resort and some Gaylord Palms and Omni Worldgate..

I bid one night for winniedapooh and got the Best Western for $45.

Check biddingfortravel.com and see what is coming up for what dates and what prices. It's pretty reliable in my experience!

I tried to get on bidding for travel website, but I got a message saying I had been banned from the site!!! ***? I have never even HEARD of the site!!!

Any help on that?

Oh my gracious! Maybe it's your firewall??? That's all I can think of.

Not a firewall issue. It wasn't 'banned' like I was not allowed to go to the site. It was banned like I was naughty and they threw me out! :confused3

I need a hotel for our December trip and really wanted to check this site out....I'll try from home later....I don't understand the whole 'banned' from the site deal though.

If you need help checking on something for you, let me know. I'll be glad to help in any way I can.

I get the banned message from time to time. It's one of those mysterious glitches aka "FBM." :confused3 Try again after clearing your cookies and cache. Or use a different computer. Or a different account.

I am looking for the going rate for a nice hotel for December 1st for me, DH, DD & DS.

Thanks very much! :sunny:

I used priceline.com for my rental car last month in Orlando..I bid $20/day for a luxury class vehicle ..and GOT IT! Very cheap rate.

I just tried a similar tactic in Denver for our New Year's ski trip..OUCH...$50/day lost me the bid..even in small class cars!!

TO OP - I too have checked the better bidding and bidding for travel sites and basically no one has listed there bids for the time period you have listed. I just spent the past 1/2 hour attempting to bid on priceline for 12/7 -12/9 stay at resort level with no accepted bids beginning ranges were $75 -$95. I know from the resort level's hotel sites (I visited all listed on PL site) that Hilton and Gaylord Palms have no rooms available during those nights. I thought that Omni may have picked up my bid as I found a site listing nights there as $179 and my $95 bid was over 1/2 of that cost but it was denied. I then thought that I just wanted to get something booked as I am 1 month away from the vacation and just want something locked in so I bid for 3* at $44 and it was denied so I just stopped bidding tonight altogether. I am interested on seeing if anyone list a bid they got for that time frame. Good luck on bidding and please post if you get one.

I actually went through Hotwire, and got exactly what I was looking for at a better price than I found on my own.

I got just one night (we fly in at night, but can't get into the house we rented until the next day, so we only needed one night) at the three star level for $55! I was really happy with this rate so I booked it. Once it went through, I saw it was for the Hilton Homewood Suites. This is perfect for us.

Thanks for looking and I hope everyone else finds good prices for their stays!

I love Priceline, we just got Gaylord Palms for 27 December for 3 nights for $93 a night :thumbsup2

We got this thanks to having a look on the Bidding For Travel forum.
