What are you favorite rides after dark?

Are some better at night?

Big Thunder, Autopia, Casey Jr. and Matterhorn are my absolute favorites to ride at night!! Just a different vibe at night, and most everything is all lit up when you look around while on the ride. Autopia I like because it's usually really hot during the day if you get stuck at the end in the sun!!

Don't forget about Tower of Terror. Extra creepy at night. And also Screamin'! The wind rushing past your face makes it feel like you're going faster!

My vote - BTM. It has a totally different feel at night. It is lighted to enhance specific features, too cool!

Don't forget the jungle book cruise! We went at night last December. Adds a little spookyness.

BTMRR, Matterhorn, ToT, Jungle Cruise, GRR.

Jungle Cruise at night was one of my favorite rides on my last trip because our skipper kept laughing the entire ride, which made our whole boat laugh the entire time. The jokes are funnier at night too.

Also, if you can, GRR is much spookier at night too. And it almost never has a line because nobody wants to ride it when it's cooler.

I've never really done anything in CA at night....I'll have to keep that in mind for our next trip!

Possibly silly question!! What time does it get dark in California in August? Here in the UK it doesn't get dark until around 10pm in the summer. I'm guessing it is earlier than that due to the fireworks. I'd love to ride some of the rides in the dark, I guess I just need to know from what point I can plan on doing this.

I actually like almost every ride better after dark ! Even the so called "enclosed" rides are better with less ambient light.
We were in heaven at WDW last trip with the extra magic 3 hrs after closing. We closed the parks at 1 am each night and slept in!

BTMRR during the fireworks can not be beat, Splash Mountain and TOT for the views.

Most ride lines become pretty short at around an hour before the park closes or after 10PM on later nights. The exceptions to this are: Space, Nemo, Matterhorn, Indy, Peter Pan, Dumbo, Soarin, Screamin.
