Lots of time on the phone today and an unwanted upgrade to preferred at ASMo, but it's all set - we're going for Free Dining! I already had ADR's made though, but now I'm getting VERY excited about it and looking forward to trying some new places...this is where we're going:
Donald's Breakfastosaurus - We've done this one once...liked it a lot and we like having a mid-morning break from the August heat in AK.
Whispering Canyon - FIRST TIME - I'm already tasting that shake!
Play N Dine at Hollywood & Vine - We've done this one once too - but the kids love these characters.
Tony's - We've done this for lunch - but we're doing dinner. It's one of the best Children's menus for my kids - they love speghetti & meatballs.
Arkehus (sp) Norway Princess Breakfast - FIRST TIME - I'm really excited. We did CRT last year and it was the most diappointing meal of the trip so I'm hoping this one ends up better.
Teppanyaki - in Japan - FIRST TIME - Going with another family - this one should be great!
Captain Jack's - DTD - FIRST TIME - Going with another family - really looking forward to this one.

Anyone else trying something new for free? :)

It's all new to me. On our last trip we ate our meals at SOG and offsite.
For TS wee will be eating at: Kona, Le Cellier, Mama Melrose and Cali Grill.

I think there will be a new restuarant in Animal Kingdom near Expedition Everest. If it is open, we will definitely give it a try. :thumbsup2

Taken from wdwinfo.com -- "Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park will have a new Asian inspired full serve restaurant in the Anandapur section this summer. There will also be a counter service option available as well as a retail section featuring sushi ware, teapots and chopsticks."

Just booked Spirit of Aloha for Saturday, September 1st. Something that we never would have been able to do if it weren't for the free DDP, (it's $191 for the four of us otherwise, he gave us a total at the end of the ressie). I think my two girls are going to enjoy it so much, they are so excited.

We are a family who visits several times a year, but we do it on the cheap in order to do that: that means we pack a cooler with a gallon of milk and bring cereal for breakfast (and sometimes dinner!), we pack oranges and granola bars in our backpacks for snacks in the parks, and eat hot dogs off the carts.

Thank you Disney for offering the DDP for free and allowing families the opportunity to do things they wouldn't normally be able to do!

I'm not really sure yet. We only have 2 places we really want to eat at. Concourse Steakhouse for dinner (DH's b-day dinner) and Crystal Palace (niece's b-day breakfast) for breakfast. I want to try Le Cellier, but I don't know if I want to do steak again. It's hard with DH and I. We're two completely different eaters. DH is a meat & potato kinda guy. I am to a point, but I can only eat steak every so often. He's also a seafood eater, and I don't eat any of it. The hardest part is that I don't want to be tied down to dinners every night. I don't want to plan ADRs everynight, so I know we won't always get our first choice. But hey, it's free, maybe I'll just eat popcorn the entire time!popcorn::
