What are you doing today? New Year's Day!

DH has to work, so I am going to keep up with the cleaning etc. I am going to start and get rid of old clothes, and get some closet's cleaned out! Outside of that not to much, just time to get life back to normal.

I am going to work.. I'm church organist for 2 churches. I didn't do anything last night, so it's not a problem. Last week on Christmas day I was sick and had to drag myself out of bed. When I get home I'll probably read and watch dvd's on my new dvd player.

Hang out, listen to music, watch movies, post, and get some groceries.

I guess I'm taking my mom shopping, which should be o so fun as today's the 1st which means the stores will be VERY crowded. I spent yesterday cleaning and dong laundry so none of that for me. Might make a menu for the week and do some grocery shopping...dunno really!

Waiting for the X to call back and come get the girls, the roads are too nasty for me to drive up the mountain to drop them off, so he's gotta come down it to get them. Since he didnt have the kids last night and went out- well I'm guessing its not going to be the normal 8am kid switch!

Cleaning as usual!! My boyfriends mom is flying in from Florida today.. she used to live here in Tx but moved to Florida about 3 yrs ago to spend time with her parents as they are getting older and she didnt want to miss those years, so she pretty much picked up and moved to Florida.. She called us yesterday and a very good friend that lives here is dying and may not make it thru the week.. she is currently in the hospital, so his mom called and said she is flying in today for the week.. she asked to stay with us, so of course I have to clean.. I cant have her thinking my house is always this disorganized.. We saw her last in March when we took her on a cruise.. I cant wait to see her, but sad that it has to be in this situation.. Oh.. and my kids come home from their dads!! I cant wait!!..

Hoping to get my life back to normal.. I love the holidays but once their over I usually am ready to move on.. I have so much to look forward to in the new year..

I should get to the house cleaning, but just do not feel like it, so I will save it for tonight or tomorrow. At 11:30 we will head out to go see the Lion King so that will take up much of my day.

I don't really have any set plans today. Maybe clean a little, and watch some of my new Dark Shadows DVD. This was a quiet New Year for me - no parties, no nothing last night. Feels like any other day to me today.

Well, DH is with a terrible sinus infection so there go my dreams of a nap!

However, I am planning on a busy day nonetheless, tired or not. Mass at 11 am (what were they thinking when they made Jan 1. a Holy Day of Obligation? ). There is also something I want to go pick up at Michael's with a coupon I have, and there is still laundry to be done. Oh yeah...and taking care of 3 kiddos too.

I am taking it easy today. Not sure what it is going to be but whatever we decide it will only be DH and myself. Since November 12th someone or something has comandeered our time and on this day the first of all days in the New Year we are taking a stand !!and hopefully setting the tone for 2006.

So, that's about it. We're going to live free today doing whatever we choose to do.

Well, I thought we would be watching the Rose Parade and then DH would be watching football the rest of the day...but found out that stuff is on TV tomorrow, not today!! So! I guess I'll de-Christmas-ize the house! Was going to do it tomorrow, but will do it today instead. And I want to get the suitcases out and start packing for our trip, we leave Friday!! Woo Hoo!!

Driving into Queens to see my grandparents. Tomorrow DFi and I are both off, so we're going to continue with the packing/cleaning extravaganza we've been doing for the last few weeks. I can't wait for January to be over, I just can't stand living here any more!!!! Argh!!!

This is pretty much what I'll be doing all day, reading the boards! I took down the decorations yesterday so I could just relax for today and tomorrow before I go back to work. I think I'll head over to Michael's if I get the energy.
