What are you doing this Holiday Weekend?

I am staying home, Did all my cleaning yesterday, calling for 81 here today... I will be having company today and tomorrow. I am cooking a nice ham dinner, Mom is going to help! Outside of that not to much of anything. Everyone have a wonderful Holiday weekend!

We will be home until around 5:30 today. I have to bake 2 cakes today, one for tonight's dinner and one for tomorrow's. We are going to my family gathering tonight. We are having ham, green beans (home grown, MMM MMM MM!), okra, slaw, mashed potatoes, banana pudding, and I'm bringing a rich vanilla chip cake to be served with French Vanilla Cool-Whip. I can't wait until tonight!!

Tomorrow we are going to my in-laws for a late lunch. We are grilling hamburgers and hotdogs. I'm looking forward to that too. Why, you ask? Because if you've read my posts close, you will remember my MIL is not a good cook and it's hard to screw up hamburgers and hotdogs I am taking a lemonade cake for dessert.

Oh my, I can relate to your MIL not being able to cook, I love and Miss mine dearly, but she could not cook. I was just talking about that the other day. all she ever did was heat things up. Enjoy your hotdog's and burger's.

We spend a lot of the weekend in church. Tonight is the BIG Mass, the Easter Vigil, my favorite Mass of the year. The kids are serving at Mass so they have practice this morning. I am going to try to talk DH into a quick round of golf otherwise we are going to clean out our garage . After church we are going out to eat tomorrow and then after that, who knows.

Tomorrow the whole family is getting together at my sister's for Easter dinner.

Today we are going to MIL's house for a big Easter Egg Hunt. My husband has a large family, 22 grandkids. So this is one of my MIL's favorite days when all her children and grandchildren are together. Tomorrow I am cooking a big family dinner for my side. About eighteen people. I hope all goes well and I don't burn anything. Happy Easter everyone.

I'm doing laundry this morning. DH and DS are going downtown in few minutes so DS can get measured for the tux he's wearing to an awards banquet next month (he was selected "Scholar/Citizen/Athlete" for his school for this year! )

DS's senior prom is tonight, so we'll follow him to his date's house when he picks her up and then to a local park to take pictures. They do a "senior lead-out" at the prom where all the seniors and their dates walk across the stage and are introduced - senior parents are invited to watch that, so we'll be at the auditorium tonight for a couple of hours.

Tomorrow should be a quiet day, aside from the occasional encounter with a chocolate Easter bunny!

For Easter Sunday I like to get my Mom a special corsage, pick her up and we attend mass at her church together. Afterwards we will visit my dear Dad's and brother's resting place and decorate w/spring flowers.

It will be a fun family day, as through out the afternoon many family members will stop by at various times for her famous So Md stuffed ham with all the trimmings and yummy desserts. Guests usually share their pot luck dishes and the grands surprise her with a variety of spring plants to enjoy. The children will have an Easter egg hunt and enjoy playing with all their cousins. Makes for some really nice family pics.

Im cleaning house today. Im hosting a bridal shower in a few weeks so I need to get some things done that I dont regularly do.....windows, blinds, and other things I put off. So I will be cleaning all day today, except when Im on the DIS And tonight I will be going to church. The pastor asks that all those who can attend "off" services to do so. That way visitors and guests will have plenty of parking and room to attend. Plus, they bribe us to do so. Ice cream social if you go to late saturday evening service and breakfast if you go to sunrise service on sunday. It works. Tomorrow we will be doing Goofy's Kitchen for brunch, then heading back home to relax and watch movies.

I'm home for the weekend. Going shopping with my mom and sister shortly. Tonight we're going to Stars on Ice. Tomorrow we're having Easter dinner around 2; my aunt, uncle and cousin are coming over for that. Then tomorrow evening it's back to school

I will go to sunrise service & make a small Easter dinner then visit DMIL's grave to leave her flowers. She loved flowers.

I forgot to mention that I WILL be taking Monday off. Boston Marathon + Red Sox Game = Me....on my couch....trying to find something on TV other than the Boston Marathon and the Red Sox game....

Took my DS3 to an Easter Egg Hunt this morning. The buffet had the following: hot dogs, chips, mac and cheese, chicken nuggets and ice cream! Every carbohydrate delight imaginable.

My DD9 and DS11 have golf matches soon. I'll follow my daughter and spend most of my time looking for lost balls in the rough! Where's my claritin? I told my DH that I would be more that happy to go with DS.
