What are we supposed to do?

here is the situation,
my uncle got into a snowmobile accident 2 sundays ago. He was hurt pretty bad ( broken elbow, broken collar bone, hurt his hip, bruised kidney and basically bruised all over) he checked himself out of the hospital on Thurs of last week. my grandmother ( his mom) went to stay with him since he lives alone and has been there since Sat (he is recently divorced and has a 7 yr old DD that stays with him after school and on weekends)
last night he gets really sore and they take him to the hospital. he has a ruptured spleen and had surgery last night. his mom has been in the hospital with him since last night.


here is the problem. his ex wife just called and told my mom ( his sister) that she needs to go back to work and cant stay at his house anymore because its too confusing for my cousin. ( she was staying with him until my grandmother got up there) She also said she cant be driving my grandmother abck and forth to the hospital everyday, that it is too much for her. his ex wants someone to come up to NH TONIGHT and stay at the house and drive my grandmother back and forth. My mom doesnt mind going up there and staying but doesnt drive. She is trying to find someone to drive my grandmother car to New hampshire and have my grandmother drive herself to the hospital. ( which wont happen, she wont drive to my sister house that is 25 minutes away, so she wont drive the 25 minutes to the hospital) I cant do it because i have a 2 1/2 year old and a ton of animals....

I know it isnt his ex's responsiblity but how are we supposed to find someone to stay up there in such short notice!

Unfortunately you might not. If he is stable and in the Hospital he will be cared for and just might not have visitors until things can be arranged. When families are spread out this happens. Don't fret yourself sick do what you can and accept that it might not be perfect. If your Mom can stay with him when he comes home that is more important than sitting in the Hosp. all day.

thanks.. i guess it was more as a vent than anything!

We had a way to get my grandmother her car and my mom was going to stay with her but of course my grandmother doesnt want to drive. So my mother is taking family leave and my father is going to drive her up to NH and stay e until friday night, since my father has to work on sat.
