What are they building?

Actually, the Four Seasons will go about 3 miles north of where that map ends, at the old Eagle Pines golf course. (Think between Fort Wilderness and Port Orleans)

My apologies- they are in fact building in what appears as the vacant lot at the end of the street and it was a Waldorf Astoria staff member giving me a tour that provided that information. I should learn, never listen to employees

Especially if the employee is with the competition! "Look over there, that dumpy little place is going to be a Four Seasons...they don't even have a lake, like we do, or a golf course..." :)

It is interesting that Yet Something Else is going down there...

Great article OrlandoMike. At the end of the article the author asks about how these resorts will be filled. Here is what I think.

Many businesspeople are Hilton rewards members. They gain room nights the more they stay there for business travel. So Joe Schmoe, the Hilton Rewards member wants to take his family to WDW. He realizes there is a Hilton there. He enjoys how they are run and has many room-nights saved up. He can use all of those room-nights on his vacation and save tons of money on his vacation.

I know many businesspeople who are Hilton snobs. They will only stay at Hiltons. I think the Hilton will easily fill its rooms and is a great competing force in the WDW market. The customer service, cleanliness, etc. at WDW has been declining lately. Hopefully these new comptetitors will force the resorts to clean up their acts.

I have no problem with these new resorts. I think they sound rather interesting. Especially that wildlife reserve. I will be interested to see some tours of these resorts when they open.
