What are the tickets made of?

What are the MYW (with PH) tickets made of? Are they plastic cards or are they standard reinforced paper tickets? If they are paper, can you get the info transferred to your room key so that you have less to keep track of?

I have heard they are made of a mylar substance that resists tearing. Too bad they aren't waterproof. Most people who have to have theirs replaced have accidently run them through the washer or had them on their person when at the waterparks of pool.

The MYW tickets that I just got from Ticketmania were cardstock paper tickets. I liked the plastic credit card type tickets better but as long as it gets me in the front gate I don't care too much.

p.s. I do like the Rusty Scupper's thought though that they are made of compressed pixie dust.

AGGGHHH!!! When we were there last February, your room "key" was also your ticket into the parks and had credit priveledges if you chose to do so.

So, do you now have a separate park pass and key to your room?

If you purchase your tickets at your resort, or are part of a package, the ticket will be encoded onto the room key.

If you purchase tickets separately, via an outside vendor, the parks, or by mail, they will be the thinner mylar-like stock that is used for Annual Passes.

DH just picked up our tickets from AAA yesterday. They look exactly like the park hopper tickets we have gotten in the past, made out of that cardstock type material. I was expecting to see it say Magic Your Way on them somewhere, but they don't.
