What are the odds...?

of booking BCV in early June (6/9-6/12) at our 7 month mark? Our family just decided tonight that since we have to use 50 points next year, or we will lose them, that we will do a quick resort only trip right after the kids get out of school (we are going on a DCL cruise in August). We had thought about VWL since we had never stayed there before, but since this is a resort only trip, we thought that BCV would be better because of SAB. Just curious if anyone got in there at that time of year.

There is some risk that a BCV studio may have a day or two of the days you want booked before the 7 month window, particularly if your time includes any Star Wars weekend

I honestly think you have a good chance of it. We usually go around this time and I am always surprised at how much availability there is around 7 months, but it does fill up quickly after that window opens.

I think its pretty good as well. Generally the first two weeks of June and the last two weeks of August are the easiest Summer months because half the country starts or is still in school. But drusba's the one that has been watching, and I would agree, it isn't something you can depend on.

Another option is AKV. The Savannah views are wonderful. And there's lots to do in the resort. Both have great pools, just not one with sand. And I feel that they have more resort activities than others. And your chances of getting something there are much higher.

Thank you everyone for your responses. I plan on getting up bright and early on the first day of our 7 month mark and try to book BCV, if not we will definitely look into AKV since we have not stayed there either .

Well DH and I talked about our June trip last night and we both decided that we would forgo the whole WDW resort only trip and instead use our points to go to HHI. We have never been there before and is something we had talked about doing in the past but never executed it. We are really excited about it because not only are we going to be going to some place new, but we will have enough points to go for a longer trip then our original 3 night trip to WDW, plus my kids like this idea more since there are no parks there that will be calling their names . I am just hoping that I will be able to book HHI at our 7 month mark, we do still plan on going in early June, however, since our dates are a bit more flexible now (since kids will be out of school), I can play with the weeks that we go....we would like to be there from a Sunday to a Thursday so that we don't have to spend more points on the weekend, but if we have to, then so be it .

Now that's gonna be a much harder ticket to get. Just be ready to go right at the 7 month mark and waitlist immediately, if necessary.

Thanks for the heads up , I have already planned on getting up bright and early and making our reservations online. Well if worse comes to worse, we will go back to our original WDW plan if we can't get HHI.

I rented points for next June at HHI, then rented out my own BWV points to cover the cost. It was important we do HHI, and I know it can be hard to book in the summer.
