I'm holding back from booking airfare Seattle/Orlando because, so far, there are no direct overnight (redeye) flights going to Orlando  The redeye flight going to Orlando is perfect for our family - we spend our travel time sleeping and when we get there, it's still fairly early in the morning and we can just get on with our vacation! :goodvibes

What are the odds that Alaska/Delta will bring back that direct redeye flight we took last October, do you think? It left Seattle at about 11pm and got to MCO at about 7:30am the next day - that is the one we want again! So far, the only direct flights are at 8:30am (it gets to MCO at about 5pm) and at about 1:30pm (gets to MCO at about 10pm). We don't want those flights :lmao:

Fingers crossed... :upsidedow

Sorry I don't have a an answer for you... I am looking at flights right now too.. trying to decide which is the best way to go?

When are you going? we are also looking at going during free dining, it will be our first time to dw...

We booked Air Tran with a layover in Atlanta.

Figured it can't be worse than last year-Drive to Seattle, Check in at Park'n Fly, Eat late dinner, go to bed (4hrs?), wake up early for flight, arrive in Orlando, Check into Disney Resort, Eat dinner and go to bed.

This year it should be - Drive to Seattle, eat dinner at airport, hopefully sleep on flight to Atla., breakfast in Atla airport, fly to Orlando and check in. Then we arrive hrs before we would have last year. Relax at the resort and get to bed for hitting the parks.

Congrats on getting your tickets...

I am trying to figure out which is better, to take the last ferry over from the Island and drive to the just drive to park and fly and then to the airport leaving at 6 am... arriving at DW that afternoon..

or to take an evening flight.... why oh why can't we get fares from Vancouver that compare to Seattle???? travel would be so much easier..

We'll be going for 7 or 8 nights somewhere within the date range of Sept. 12-26 (we've booked FD for that 2-week period because I haven't booked the flights yet and we wanted to make sure we were covered lol I'll change the dates after we book our flights).

We may end up flying the overnight with a stop going to MCO, but we really don't want to LOL Coming back, we'll hopefully be able to just book a direct flight separately. I still have my fingers crossed for the direct redeye going though!

Seattle doesn't seem to have great flight times - We are going BUF to SEA in August for our Alaska cruise and it was hard finding flights that were decent times - we leave on a Saturday at 8:40am and land at SEA finally at 6:30pm - over 12 hr travelling time on 3 different flights - then coming home we leave at 6am and end at BUF at 4pm with 2 different planes - had to use 2 different airlines to make it all work with a decent price!!

Must be very frustrating for everyone out West trying to book travel!!

With the current state of the industry, I wouldn't hold my breath for airlines to add flights less than 6 months away. If anything, they're more likely to cancel flights. And those redeyes are not very popular, so...

Oh, I hope you're wrong LOL I can only speak for the redeye we were on last October, but it was full, not one seat empty :confused3

Alaska Air usually has a flight that leaves around 11:00 pm.

I have taken this flight three times in the past, but this year I booked a daytime flight with a layover in Atlanta for a couple of hours with American Airlines for just over $300.00 Canadian each return SEA -MCO

Best of Luck finding the flights that work best for your family

That's the flight we took last time - and the flight we want again, but so far, they're not offering it

And thank you for the luck! :)
