What are the odds? - re: T-Rex

We are arriving to Disney on Sunday Sept.19th. We are driving so we have no idea what time we will be arriving. We are "hoping" to be there around 5:00pm, but it all depends on the drive.


What are the odds that we could get a table at T-Rex for supper anywhere between 6:00-8:00pm? I don't have reservations because, well like I said I have no idea what time we will be arriving for sure, and even if we will feel like doing anything more than a swim, quick bite and bed.

I think its doable.. Maybe you can write the number down and when you get close to the area you can call ahead..

I say its worth it and its the meal we always do on the day we arrive in Orlando (we also drive) we always drive down the day before stay in a DTD hotel and eat at Trex and shop DTD.. Good way to ease into your disney vacation!

Well, they are open till 11 i think, so, i know the later the better!! SO, if ya thinking 8pm, or so..you have a really good chance! The food is pretty good!!
We had the appetizer, this thing came on this like 3 or 4 tier thingy, and we had ribs, and this cotton candy drink!! Sooo yummy!!!!

In July, we had a reservation for 6 PM on a Sunday night, but we were there and ready to eat at 5 PM. They were able to seat us within 5 minutes of us asking if we could be seated early. So... I think that it is very likely and if you know you are for sure going that night, you may want to make a reservation for say, 7 PM and then when you get there, either a little or a little late, they could probably seat you soon after your arrival.

Go to the Disney World Site and book for whatever time you feel you can make just to be safe. You're saying between 6-8, so maybe go for 7:30. The site will let you know if that time is available. T-Rex has been the hardest ADR to get for the past year. The last 2 trips I wasn't able to book it for any of the 20 days we were at WDW.

i can never get it through disney sight however we always call trex directly and they can accomodate us. i tried for my ressies at 180 days out....now t-rex. tried at 30 days out no trex....called trex at 30 days and i could pick whatever day and time i wanted.

same here! I tried on the Disney site and called disney and nothing was available. The cm told me to call T Rex and see what they could do. Called t rex and they let me pick whenever I wanted. T rex told me to always book through them as disney doesnt hold many of thier reservation spots.

Last year we walked up at 5PM and were seated immediately. When we left after eating, there was a long line at the check in podium. I made a reservation for lunch this trip.

We walked right up last June and got right in! It was somewhere around 6pm if I remember right. We plan on probably trying that again this year as well!

I've made a 3:30 reservation for T-rex in Dec. We will be in MK that day and would probably want to go back to the park that evening for extra hours.
Is it possible to walk from MK to Downtown Disney & the T-Rex restaurant?? Or, do I have to worry about transportation?

No, you are not able to walk between MK and DTD. They are miles apart.

Just outside of MK will be buses that will take you directly to DTD.

calling trex directly is the best way to get in if you can find out about when you are gong to get there you can call and probably get one but they do do a lot of walk ups and if it is around 8 i dont believe the wait is that bad and you are right there at downtown to keep you busy till its time
