When we went to Epcot last time, it seems like we missed alot. We are traveling this time with 6 of us 51, 33, 31, 11, 10, and 4. We know we want to go to the World Showcase, so I can pout the whole time knowing the Tapestry of Nations Parade is no more. So please give me some ideas on things not to miss!

If you like the Beatles don't miss the British Invasion. We usually grab a pint, some fish and chips and find a good bench spot to watch them.

We always get a frozen Marguarita in Mexico first thing! We never miss the Norway ride...(NOR-VAY!!) lots of fun. After working up an appetite we go to Germany Beer + Bratwurst for DH..I love to sample the Champagnes with strawberries in France, and shop for perfumes and cosmetics. Japan is Wonderful, nice shopping. Italy and the gardens...We start in Mexico and work our way around that way. Rose and Crown is a must (Pimms Cup). I always get the Freesia Fragrance in Great Britian..... We drink and Nibble our way around the world, so after France its a blur.

I agree about the British Invasion in the UK. We love stopping there and listening to them play. Also, stop at Le Cellier, they have the best steaks. We eat there every trip. :D

Mexico - Shopping inside
Norway - Malstorm
China - the counter-service restaurant w/ the 2 egg roll platter (hell yeah!)
Germany - The mini trains
Italy - Shops
Japan - Shops
Morocco - Walk in the back of the pavillion and check it out, its really cool

You should listen to the band Off Kilter in the Canada area. They are so much fun!
The British Invasion is also on our must do list every visit.

If you can swing it. I know some have complained but we did it for the first time and had a blast!

Also Nestles has the Cookie baking in the lower level there.

I've only been to WDW once before but the World Showcase is my favorite. I love just strolling and checking out the sights. It is a nice change from the rushing we normally do at other parks.

My favorite pavillion is American Adventure. Try not to miss the acapella singers (inside the building). I don't remember what they're called but they are really good. I hope to see the flag from WTC if it's still there.

A few other things that stand out:

In Germany (I think) the miniature train village that goes on and on and on. We watched that for probably a good ten minutes.

I also enjoyed the theatre thingy they did in England. It was in some outside courtyard. They pulled a few people from the audience to participate. The story itself was corny but altogether a funny and enjoyable time.

This might sound like a small item to enjoy, but...

The rose garden between the Imagination pavilion and World Showcase going toward Canada. The roses are beautiful year round. A slow walk at night with a loved one is kind of nice :) It is usually not very crowded.

The American Flag from the World Trade Center is on display inside the American Pavillion off to the right.

Illuminations and Maelstrom as it will add a mini ride and good information.

Here is our list:

Test Track
Ellen's Universe of Energy (one of DD's favorites)
Journey To Your Imagination with Figment
Ice Station Cool
Test Track
ImageWorks
Maelstrom
Kidcot
Did I say Test Track????
Illuminations

Definitely do the Kidcot stations as you go around. Even my 10 year old enjoys making the mask and stopping at each station to add more to it.

I love Innoventions! All that cool stuff to play with. My son and I can spend hours wandering in there playing.

Have a good time!
Epcot is my favorite park.

What is Kidcot, as the Passport thing, with the masks?
Also, I thought Figment was no longer there, I loved him in 1988 when we went for HighSchool, that would be so cool if he was there again.
Haven't heard of Imageworks either, clue me in.

As you can see, we went clueless last time. Thanx so much so far, everything is going in the notebook:) I am so ready to go now!!!!!

What is Kidcot, as the Passport thing, with the masks?

Yes, you purchase the passports at one of the gift shops and you can start at any pavillion. The 1st pavillion gives the child the mask and the decoration that applies to that country... then they write something on the decoration in their native language. They stamp the passport and write a message to the child, both in English and in their native language. My Dd did this the last time we were there, and it was one of her favorite activities. When finished, the mask was pretty impressive, as well!

Also, I thought Figment was no longer there, I loved him in 1988 when we went for HighSchool, that would be so cool if he was there again.

They just renovated the Imagination ride and brought back Figment. It is a cute ride, and kids and adults like it. There really never is a line for it, and the trains hold many guests

Haven't heard of Imageworks either, clue me in.

Imageworks is like an interactive playground that is after Journey To Your Imagination. There you can step on pictures and hear the sounds of whatever is in the picture, you can send emails with funny pictures of yourself that you design, you can use conduct an orchestra and see the soundwaves on the wall. I have a difficult time getting DH and DD out of here. It is a great way to pass the time, if it is pouring rain, or you need to cool off.. or you just want somewhere cool to wait for your fastpass time.

Hope this helps!

Kidcot: You don't have to purchase the Passport to do the Kidcot stations. They have a table setup at each Country Pavilion.

Just stop at the first country you come to and go to the station. They will give your child a mask on a paint stick, for free. There are markers there for the kids to color the mask. The CM's at the country's station will stamp the stick on the mask if the kids don't have a passport. They also attach a paper symbol to the mask. Each country has a different one.

It's a really nice way of getting the children interested in going from Country to Country. My 10 year old son was practically dragging us around the World Showcase last time. The extra bonus is that the kids take a few minutes at each station to decorate their masks. So you get to look around the shops and enjoy the pavilion while they are doing that.

The passport, which we also have purchased in the past is nice too. The CM's write something in them at each stop.
Have a good trip!

My favorites - Test Track, Spaceship Earth, Honey I Shrunk the Audience, Malestrom and The American Adventure. :D

the Living Statues in France
Cranium Command
Watching the flamingoes between the 2 parts
Sending your kids to go ride the stupid--ooops--educational ride in Mexico while you drink margaritas in peace and quiet

There's a ship to climb on in Norway which the little one will love
The movie in Canada and a pastry from France

Honey I Shrunk The Audience is awesome!!!

For something a little more unconventional try Cranium Command: It's cheezey but so much fun, I guarantee that you won't regret going.

Malestrom is great, but a little short for the lines it can sometimes build.

Live performers as you 'drink yourself around the world' are also great! Each country get a drink and see how far you make it. Plan to hit the sack directly afterwards.... you'll need to sleep it off.
