What are the must-sees with a 15 month old?

We're taking our son across to The World later in the year and although both my wife and I have visited before (so no need for a commando-like assault on every attraction), we've never been with such a young child.

Therefore, i'd really appreciate it if you could tell me your "must see/do" attractions with a baby.

He's a big Tigger/WTP fan already and recognises The Mouse, but we're from the UK so a number of the pre-school TV shows will mean nothing.

We've got 7 park days and will be staying onsite (BCV)

Thanks

Tony

Hi! We just returned from a week-long trip to WDW with our 14 month old DD. She had the BEST time!!! I would say among her favorites were Small World (did that twice), Tommorowland Transit Authority, Carousel of Progress (she loved the dog in each "scene") Pirates (she now sings along "Oh,oh, oh, oh" instead of Yo-ho, Yo-ho when I play the WDW CD I have and her face lights up when the song comes on!) She loved Ariel's show at MGM, and the Playhouse Disney show. She liked The Land's boat ride, and Living Seas (she loves fish) at Epcot. The highlight of our trip was when she met her "friends" Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald, Goofy, Chip and Dale at Character Connection in Epcot......She was practically pulling me through the line, and was she ever MAD that she had to wait her turn to see them. But, when she had her turn with each of them, she was in heaven!!! Those moments were priceless and worth each and every penny spent on our vacation!!! Oh, yes, the train ride to Rafiki's Planet Watch, and the Safari were also huge hits at AK.

The biggest thrill at the hotel was the elevator! She loved that we let her push the button!

We knew this trip was all about her and we are glad we took it at her pace. We were able to go on Tower of Terror, Space and Splash mountains, Exp. Everest, Soarin, and Test Track by doing the baby swap, or having one of the grandparents watch her while we rode.

You'll have a great time!

That is a good age for Disney IMO. I've taken a 16 month old and 14 month old and will be taking a 13 month old in December. There is a big difference in the ages. 16 months was perfect but timing is better this year for us to go when our caboose is 13 months.

Anyway- when my oldest daughter was 16 months she LOVED the character meals (non princess b/c she was a little young for "real people" characters). She loved the Pooh and Friends meal at Crystal Palace. It was the only meal I had scheduled that trip. She had so much fun, I scrambled to schedule more last minute ones when I was there. She also liked Small World and Dumbo. By far though, anything involving characters was her favorite. She didn't care about getting their autograph at that age, she just wanted to hug them.

We went with my nephew when he was that age, and he loved the play area after the Journey Into Imagination ride...there's an area that has lights and graphics projected onto the floor and when you step on them they make different noises...he loved it. He also liked the character meals.

Do you remember anything when you were 15 months old?? I sure don't!

I would go to what you enjoy, keeping in mind not to go on anything too scary for a toddler.

By the time your toddler is older, say 3-4 they will have definite ideas about what they do and do not want to do at Disney. Then you will not be able to enjoy as many of the things that you want, until they reach about 12 years old.

Of course it all evens out, because by the time they are teenagers they don't want to do anything at Disney with you and would rather bring along a friend to have fun with. So then you get to go back to doing what you want to do!

So I vote for enjoy what you like, try not to do anything to scary for toddler, and realize that your next few visits will probably be all about what the kids want!

There will be plenty for her to see we will be going in Oct when our DD will be 15 mnths and we will prob take it at her pace, going with children means you see a lot of different things that you never bothered about before. A lot of the characters can be found on British t.v. try the Disney channel on sky the have most of the pre school characters my older 2 loved Bear in the Big Blue House. Amust see would be any of the shows like Lion King, hope you have a great time.

DD had never seen Playhouse Disney when we went and she LOVED the playhouse Disney show and the parade at MGM. She got so excited about Jo-jo, and she had never seen that show!

There is a playground in Mickey's ToonTown that is only for little ones. DS loved it when he was 13 months, especially since he was just able to roam around and exercise rather than being trapped in a stroller or ride all the time. There is also a new play area near the Winnie the Pooh ride that is perfect for little ones.

DS also liked the Crystal Palace character breakfast with Pooh and Friends, but if you don't want to do the breakfast, you can find the Pooh characters in Mickey's ToonTown in the ToonTown Barn (there usually isn't a long wait for the Pooh characters) or sometimes in the English Toy Shop in Epcot.

We took him on almost all the approved rides at that age. He really liked the Winnie the Pooh ride, and on the dark rides, he just fell asleep. He doesn't remember anything from the trip, despite DH's trying to remind him, but he did seem to have a good time.

One more note: make sure your little one doesn't drink the pool water. DS was rather sick towards the end of the trip, and more so when we returned home.
